Visited for a wake from nearby crematorium. Nice setting, afternoon tea was served on a tiered cake stand. It was nice enough but with a little more effort it could have been much better. Service: 3 Location: 3 Hotel highlights: Quiet

Located in a beautiful garden. Building does not look maintained. We were in a small separate building of 4 rooms. There was nothing pleasant there. Bald, boring, but clean. Service was friendly. Spent 1 week of Scotland vacation here. Super friendly courteous staff. Rooms are spacious and clean. Nothing wrong with the breakfast. Definitely again. Rooms: Small tea/coffee cooking area, 1 double bed, 1 sofa bed, TV, WiFi, bathroom with tub. Walkability: Gas station and supermarket within walking distance about 20-30 minutes Rooms: 4 Service: 5

The service was lovely and so was the location. Shame about my rooms location. I stayed for two nights and my room was above an extractor fan from the kitchen and it had me awake at half 6 possibly earlier. I was tired after working all day so went for an early night but again the extractor fan was roaring until about 10 pm. Rooms: 2 Service: 5 Location: 5

Absolutely adored our stay here! Staff were warm and welcoming, room was spacious, clean and cosy and the food was delicious and very well presented. Having been travelling for two weeks around Europe this was a welcome respite! The Grounds also were so well kept and beautiful, the grounds keeper should be proud! The location was good. Rooms were good. Staff and service was good. The Food was deplorable. We ordered a mushroom appetizer that tasted like cardboard. The main dish was just as appalling. Not sure what/when the other patrons enjoyed amazing food or if a chef has recently changed but do yourself a favor and stay but dont EAT. And at 445AM a sharp high whistling sounds started. Piercing sound you cannot sleep with. Fed up after 10mins we called reception and a night ported answered and said Ohh that 's just the heating system which just started, should be done in another 10mins or so Unbelievable. People sleeping have to go through this ? Next day during checkout we let the receptionist know...
