"Take away pizza seemed like the order of the day following a lovely family day at the beach. ‘I’ll call ahead’ I thought, they’ll be piping hot and the hungry, tired kids can devour them immediately when we get home. It was a good plan. I called and received the sort of welcome and helpful good cheer that one might expect from jailer who had been up all night and had forgotten both has flask of coffee and his sandwiches. We nevertheless pressed on, and the relatively simple order of 5 margaritas, two pizza la reine and a vegetarian was ultimately, begrudgingly taken. They would be ready in 30 mins apparently. Now I’ve been around the take away pizza block a few hundred times, but what ensued was a masterclass in incompetence. If it hadn’t involved pizza, it would have been funny. But pizza is a serious business, as we know. As we arrived we walked past the poor souls who were eating at Les II Muriers properly, it became very clear that this was a place of hunger and sadness. Frankly, having been in the joint for 10 seconds, we knew we were in trouble. The other patrons whose own pizza dreams had been cruelly crushed by Les II Muriers generously emplored us to try somewhere, anywhere, else. But we had already ordered. Gulp. As we approached the counter we were told it would take another hour and a half for our 8 pizzas, that had been ordered some 30 mins before. This was fairly but firmly countered and we were then told it would just be 10 minutes! Wonderful!... But after a further half an hour they bought out only half the pizzas. They then put these back to get further mullered and after another 30 minutes we finally got the full compliment. Plus another pizza we hadn’t ordered. We took it as we couldn’t face another discussion with the hapless, hiding staff. No apologies. No charm. Pay up and foxtrot oscar was very much the watchword for those at Les II Muriers. Don’t go there. It’s the pits. And the pizzas, in the end, a 5 out of 10 (max)."

We went back to this place 3 times during our holiday. The pizzas were outstanding and our toddler even enjoyed the 4 cheese tortellini which I would definitely have if I went back. Can't really fault this place.

My husband and I go to the II Muriers, in Lorgues, 2 to 3 times a month because we have not yet been disappointed ! Cozy eating area Under the trees on the terrasse, is our favorite spot. Very friendly and Professional service. Speisekarte ansehen

A small restaurant with a very nice outdoor terrasse (on a warm day or evening). The menu is italian inspired (but I doubt that the chef is Italian!).We had pizza's. They were big and with good toppings, but the dough was not the real pizza dough, so the pizza's quickly went from crunchy to soft and humid. But there are several other stuff on the mnu than pizza's so maybe we must try something else next time.We had a good local redwine to a fair price.

We live locally and have been here many times, usually with our family and friends. It has recently changed hands and the new owners are continuing with a very good standard of fresh well cooked meals The menu is a little disappointing in its range of choice but not in its quality. The service was friendly and welcoming but it is clear they are still learning their trade. The interior is rather dark but the terrace is pleasant sitting under the branches of the two mulberry trees which give the restaurant its name.

Hidden behind the last market stands down the avenue de Toulon in Lorgues my wife were searching for a pizza, and found this nice and unpretending restaurant. Nice welcome, speedy service and attention, we found the pizzas to be excellent, tasty and quickly served. A very nice restaurant interior for colder days and also the patio under the platane trees will be a gem on a summers day. A very comforting discovery this to be recommended as they also serve more than pizza. We will try this again on another occasion. Speisekarte ansehen

Les ll Murliers has by far the best pizza in Lorgues, as a New Yorker living in Lorgues and having gone to this restaurant a number of times with my family and friends in the community, we all agree. The menu is slowly growing and it is good, this is a growing restaurant, it has had a glitch or two in the past, service can be slow at times, but it's getting better all the time and the prices are very reasonable. The owners are friendly and informative, every village should have a place like this, we will keep attending and enjoying Les ll Muriers. Neil C.

A little off the main street on the south side of Lorgues, this small place books out regularly with couples and families. The accent is on Italian food, with pizza popular; but you can have excellent pasta (ravioli of porcini) or salads, plus fish (sandre) or grilled duck breast, lamb or beef brochettes, or a small range of steaks. There have been complaints in other reviews regarding service but we were well looked-after and didn’t have to wait for courses, and we went three times. Seating, under tree canopies in a small courtyard, is pleasant and atmospheric. Happy memories for us.

"Le Jardin de Berne is undoubtedly our favorite Michelin-starred restaurant for 2024. We were expecting friendly Provençal cuisine, but this dinner went well above our expectations. Louis Rameau's cuisine is infinitely precise, tasty and sincere. This dinner (October 2024) at the Michelin-starred restaurant of the Château de Berne (where we had an excellent stay) was truly a memorable experience, surpassing all our expectations. As soon as we arrived, we were seduced by the exceptional setting: nestled in the heart of the Provencal vineyards, this place exudes elegance and serenity. The view is splendid, and the decor refined and refined. The dining room team was able to welcome us with professionalism and delicacy (a constant during this meal) and every detail of the service is thought of to make us feel privileged. Thanks to them. In terms of cuisine, Louis Rameau offers a true ode to Provence. Each dish highlights local and seasonal products, sublimated with remarkable creativity. The cuisine is frank, direct without ever betraying the essence of Provençal flavors. And the balance of textures and tastes on each plate is perfectly mastered. What we liked was the readability of the plates. No frills here, what is announced is found on the plate and in the mouth. It’s frank, delicate and without unnecessary pretentious folklore around. Huge favorite for the trout poached in olive oil mushroom gnocchi (a marvel of sweetness), the leek cooked twice with anchovies (divine) and the remarkable olive dessert from pastry chef Eric Raynal , high-flying! The menu/card presented to you is in itself a very beautiful object which highlights all the values of the house. A unique, sincere and very appreciable approach. From the ceramist responsible for tableware, to the Provençal producers/suppliers, to the market gardening approach of the house, their production of cheese, honey... the emphasis is on the good, the local, the virtuous. No wonder the restaurant also won a green macaron, demonstrating a committed and responsible approach to gastronomy. Also worth mentioning is the very fine wine list, which obviously gives pride of place to local wines. And thank you to the sommelier for her very good suggestion. In short, this restaurant is much more than a simple meal, it is an immersion in the Provençal art of living, enhanced by an enchanting setting and high-end cuisine. An essential address for gastronomy lovers looking for authenticity and refinement. And without a doubt, soon to be double-starred (it would be more than deserved). We left the Château de Berne enchanted and impatient to return for a new culinary discovery."
