"I came to Lewis for brunch after church. Ordered their Smashed avocado and poached eggs on sourdough bread with bacon. The avocado wasn’t fresh…and when I told the lady she said it was they had just prepared it. I eat avocados all the time and can tell you when one isn’t fresh. So the only thing I ended up eating on my plate was the 2 slices of bacon. I was upset and tired and decided to just forget it and get the bill the bill came and it had a full charge PLUS service charge on it. When I asked about whether my complaint had been factored in, given I hadn’t actually eaten anything else on the plate as it was bad, they removed £2 from the bill. I was extremely disappointed but I was unwell and didn’t have the energy to fight anyone about this. I just sliced some avocados now and can definitely compare to what I got at Lewis’ those were not fresh, shame on you!!"

Went for brunch and we had a breakfast and veggie breakfast. Both were very good! The quality was great, Well presented and tasty. The staff were attentive and the decor was cosy. Would go again.

really tasty options here, we had the vegan breakfast which was delicious and the vegan burger (moving mountains) and shared a vegan peanut butter Blondie. Friendly staff and the decor is really quirky I’ll definitely be back!

Attempted to go for lunch, as had heard good things. We placed an order for food and coffee, and after waiting 50 minutes checked in with the (admittedly friendly) staff to be told they they 'didn 't have our order ' we ended up leaving. We landed in in this place by chance and we thought why not try the Indian breakfast. Picture looked great with a big bowl of chicken pea curry, raita and a lovely paratha. When they turned up they were nice enough but not like the picture. Somewhat smaller and the paratha was really dissapointing, more like a chapati, very little layering, flakiness or thickness. I wouldn't rush back, weirdly all the English breakfasts looked good!

What a marvelous experience as we recently been to Lewis's cafe which is under new ownership however the food was amazing and very good service too The avacado on sourdough bread were amazing with poached eggs We been here before too and prices are the same as previous as compared to Sorrento lounge which charge 13.25 for breakfast while Lewis's charge 9.99 only Even though tough competition this cafe is standing with high quality food and service A must try experience See you soon
