Little Hay Golf Complex

They attended here for a ceremony of sports awards, the room was nice, good bar, bathrooms were fine and the buffet breakfast was very tasty. The golf course seemed charming as we drove through it and there was a large parking lot. All right.

We had a sit down meal for around 90 people. Catering Manager was great with lots ideas to help us. We brought our own champagne and wine and corkage was very reasonable. Food was excellent quality and only complaint I got was there was too much! Venue is smart and it was sunny so we could use the Patio outside that was reserved for our guests. A great place to hold a function.

Just held my 70th birthday celebrations here ,had a really wonderful day ,lovely food ,tables laid to perfection .I had great feed back from my guests and as it was sunny when the meal was over we sat on the patio area reserved for us .From the time I booked in February until the event Chrissie was extremely helpful. I had played this course 15 years ago and remembered it fondly but this time the condition of the greens and fairway was very disappointing. We walked off after 2 holes first time in my life! Their defence was that it was a public course but check out Batchwood in St Albans or Stockwood Park in Luton both excellent, well kept public courses at far cheaper fees. Their green fee was also very poor value at £22. Will not visit again.

Went for a family wedding and had no complaints about the day the staff really made it memorable all was well organised beautifully decorated a visible event organiser dealing with all the guests needs. Location was beautiful for photos and the venue had a really good flow. One down side was the the lack of trained bar staff but a few of us guests used to run a wedding venue and we could have been overly picky. We went there as a party of 12 on Mother's Day. We had a carvary . There was a choice of beef and chicken or both. We were given a really large amount of beef and half a small chicken each. Had yo take some home for dogs as couldn't eat it all. Only disappointment was the beef was as it comes and a coup,e of us don't like **** meat. The service was lovey and the meal was very filling. There was a choice of three desserts which were all enjoyed. Mums also got a fruit juice or prosecco and entered into a free draw with some good prizes. Speisekarte ansehen

I went to the golf course Open Day yesterday expecting to see a golf course in pristine condition. Wow, I got that wrong. The greens were in abysmal condition with numerous bald patches on all greens. A couple of the tee boxes looked like they needed re-seeding and a careful eye was needed to avoid stones in the bunkers. Little Hay advertises itself as one of the best municipal golf course in the country. It is not. It is not even the best municipal course within a 10 mile radius. It might be the dearest to play though and they don't mention that.

I so loved my party, it went so well, in most part due to Chrissie, the event co-ordinator. She guided, offered suggestions, followed up, and was completely on the ball, we took her advice on a number of suppliers, all of which worked brilliantly. The room looked amazing, the staff were great, friendly, helpful, resourceful, and all took it all in their stride and I had not a jot to do on the day, other than enjoy it all. The buffet was lovely, the bacon and sausage rolls were great and well timed... the drink flowed and everyone loved it. We have been using the 6 hole pitch putt course periodically over the last 4 years generally enjoy the experience. However, the greens have steadily deteriorated in quality. They were particularly poor on our most recent visit- uneven weedy the weeds had recently been treated but the remaining dead dying weeds left some nasty , ball deviating lumps bumps . The tee mats are in poor condition with some of the integral tees missing. Introducing ' football golf ' alongside was a big mistake, in my opinion. Who wants people booting footballs all over the place whilst you are trying to play a golf shot? Despite the injunction of a no more than 4 in a group rule, it is flouted I note that football...
