I continue to use this place for convenience but it’s very hit and miss. The chips this evening are so so dry. They definitely weren’t cooked fresh and none of us want to eat them.

It 's our Go To Chinese. The food is always piping hot on arrival. We don 't usually wait 'an awful long time ' either. Highly recommend this place. Very good!! I had to find an alternative take away as my local one closed. After a recommendation I tried Lucky Chopsticks and I wasn’t disappointed. I had a salted chilli chicken starter and honey chilli chicken which were both lovely and not lacking in chicken. They do charge delivery but it’s not very much. If you don't mind settling for mediocre, bland, low-quality Chinese food that falls far short of authentic Chinese cuisine, then this restaurant may be for you. However, I have been consistently disappointed and have finally had enough. I am taking my business elsewhere. I have a deep appreciation for real Chinese food, but what this restaurant offers is subpar and disappointing. To make matters worse, I experienced severe discomfort last night that felt like food poisoning. While I can't say for certain, I was close to seeking medical help. So just spent £44 on inedible food. The chilli squid was so tough I couldn’t chew it and it remains in the tub sweating away. My main was crispy beef, a favourite of mine when I was younger. My children said it’s like trying to eat a stick that then turns to dust in your mouth. Son had sweet and sour prawns, wow do they like batter at this take away, the vinegar in the sauce makes it inedible. He also had kung po chicken, again tricky to find the chicken and I think it was sweet and sour sauce with the addition of BBQ sauce, very weird and inedible. Kind staff, delicious food! The chow mein has wonderful smokey wok hei to it and I so enjoy the black pepper chicken. I shared my black pepper chicken here, kindly made without mushrooms as they’re not my fave. The portion on the plate is only about half of the portion (the rest is in the tub and half of the rice I ordered, which is lovely and means I get to have the rest for lunch.
