For non French speaking visitors to Montpellier, we got a great translation of the menu from very friendly staff. The food was quickly served and tasted excellent. Kept four very different tastes very happy!

I love Mexican food, and it is very hard to get good Mexican food in France. However, this spot in run by a Mexican with a mission to provide delicious authentic food. He does a great job, especially with his meat marinades, and salsas. Be careful though, as the spicy salsa is actually quite hot -- a rarity in France.

My friends and I came to Maria Cantina for the 4th time last weekend! I take new friends with me every time and they all agree: that's THE place if you're looking for some real Mexican burritos ! Even though the owners of that place seem really Mexican, the food didn't live up to my expectations. The service was really slow, we waited more than 20 minutes for two burritos. My burrito was mostly rice and beans, with mushrooms? It was bland, and definitely not worth the price. Only positive point of this joint: they offer the most common Mexican beer brands.

We went here for lunch. It was crowded (which is usually a good sign). It is not on the normal tourist route, so that means that other locals have found it and like it; mainly college students. The menu is definitely what we call in Texas, Street Tacos: soft tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, etc. Most meals come with nachos (ball park cheddar cheese and pico de gallo on tortilla chips). There are 5 sauces you can choose to put on your meal from very mild to very spicy. The food was really good. We were very impressed with the great seasonings. We'll definitely go back again. The other thing is the price. The price for the lunch menu (including a drink) was about 10 Euros.

I found this place in Facebook, the comments said the food was good so I decided to go with my husband. The place is really small, the menu and the service its like a quick service wich its ok. I ordered guacamole and chips, that was ok nothing special, too many chips and just a little guac. Then I ordered tacos al pastor with corn soft tortillas, the meat was good but the tortillas were really bad, not fresh, I feel like the tortillas are frozen and they just heat them while still frozen whenever they have a taco order. I couldn't even eat the taco properly because the tortilla was already broken when they gave me the food. I had to eat the meat separate and of course I didn't eat the torti... Speisekarte ansehen
