Decent parking, proximity to Lodore Falls (to the south west, along the road until the wooden gate), has food drink in the bar. Quick service for a few drinks. Good attitude. Food drinks: Quick service for some shandies J2O Service: 5

Just home from a 2 night stay. Fabulous room, newly refurbished 3 weeks ago very clean. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you Scott and the team. Not stayed here for 20 plus years, so commenting on food only. I am lucky enough to live locally now. I love this place. Service is swift. Choice is good. Children's menu is good too. Superb location. Must have visited for a meal 50 plus times. Never disappointed. Walkability: Great walks from the doorstep Food drinks: Excellent Service: 5 Location: 5

A lovely hotel in great location. Was given a small double room which was nice and clean, beautiful views. Fair breakfast selection included which was nicely cooked. An excellent base for many hikes around the Ullswater area. Town centre 5 minutes drive, plenty of parking and options for dining out, can't comment on restaurant menu at hotel as we ate out in Kewsick. Rooms: 4

Lovely building. Lovely view. Food was great and all the staff were nice and welcoming... However, our room (room 4) had an odd smell, was extremely hot, and the extractor fans for the kitchen were right outside the bathroom window and were VERY loud and ran from very early in the morning until very late at night. I'd be happy to stay there again but would ensure my room was not above the kitchen! Lovely place but don't stay in room 4! Speisekarte ansehen

We recently spent 5 nights here with our dog. The location is beautiful and right on Lodore jetty meaning the lake ferry is on your doorstep. We also walks from here to Lingholm which was about 1hr 40mins. The food was really good, the staff are friendly and service is quick with dog sausages every day at breakfast! The standard rooms are on the small side (especially if you have a medium/ large dog and a dog cage and could do with some modernisation (plugs by the side of the bed, bigger TV, etc).

We’ve had a number of previous trips here, for food, and always fancied a stop over. Truthfully? Felt a little let down. In all fair honesty, it needs some TLC. Bedroom had stains on the carpet, and plenty of mucky finger prints, to stipulate a lick of paint. Breakfast? Don’t expect that of what you’d get on a builders plate. Portions are excessively small. 1 small poached egg, sausage, tomato, bacon, and trickle of beans. We were reluctant also to having a shower. Reason being, other members outside of the property, could potentially see in. Reception area? This wasn’t manned. Just various staff dashing between reception itself, the kitchen, and attending you when they can. And to then have...

Just come back from 2 nights at Mary Mount, everything was great, the service, food, the views and the warm welcome from all the staff, very reasonable and ideal if you love walking in the area, we are booking to go back in November, this is a must to stay. Rooms: Room was very clean, we took blankets for the floor as we have 2 huskies and wanted to reduce fur, all we could want, roomy, great views, shower pressure wasn't great but not an issue. Nearby activities: There is the Ladore jetty a minute walk that you can get the ferry throughout the day, it's also a watersports centre, Safety: Car left safe for a few nights, also took dogs out after dark for late toilet duties and so quiet and pe...
