"Booked on a spur of the moment and so pleased we did. It's a cosy space downstairs and has a good atmosphere. The food is really good and full of flavour. I had a lamb burger, with goat's cheese, whilst my partner had a pulled pork in brioche. Initially, we thought we'd have a main and dessert. (Mainly because we saw a few desserts being brought out and they looked lovely) We managed the main... It was so good but we were struggling to finish so had to stick with that.. Maybe next time for a pudding! Definitely worth a visit but make sure you book early."

Understated but brilliant bistro. Our food was excellent I had jerk chicken for mains, served with pak Choi and parmesan wedges; delicious and a good sized portion too. Followed by caramelized lemon posett; fantastic. So, the food is great, atmosphere and aesthetic and super friendly staff. Well worth hunting out.

Called in today for breakfast,the lovely waitress Lanie was amazing,made sure we had service with a smile then came to check on us which was so nice of her as she had other tables she was busy with.I will be recommending this delightful little cafe to all my friends,can’t wait to call again. Meriendas is a lovely place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or just a coffee and cake. The staff a warm and friendly. It gets very busy at times, but the staff are always professional and kind and take time to make sure everyone has what they need, especially Lanie. Nice little place! We stayed for dinner because we heard that they were gluten-free friendly, and they have some really nice options for everyone. The food was inventive, tasty and healthy – and the gin potion I had was delicious. The ambience was really nice, and the staff was friendly and capable. The only negative was that the sticky cake was a little dry. I definitely recommend eating here!
