"This was one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever been to. The quality of the fish and the skills of their sushi chef were both flawless. I had the large nigiri plate with a selection of 13 different nigiri, all of them were masterfully assembled and presented. I had sushi in restaurants twice as expensive but less delicious. Things to look out for: Grilled yellowtail nigiri Tuna belly nigiri Sweet water eel nigiri All staff have been extremely attentive at all times, friendly, helpful and polite. We were the last ones to leave the restaurant so I would also like to comment on the hygiene comment that one reviewer made: the chef, who was preparing the sushi in front of us, took one full hour after the last preparation to professionally clean the kitchen. Nothing in this restaurant gave me the impression of poor hygiene."

we had a great meal in miyama. the staff was very polite and professional. the menu was delicious. they also had a big menu of Sake-s for what I remember. the prices are moderate to high, I would say. but the quality reflects it. I would recommend!

Don’t waste your time booking a table. They don’t bother honouring the booking anyway. Called me 5 minutes before my booked time to tell me they didn’t have a table to me, even though the app/site says the time is available. What’s the point of partnering with a site to allow bookings if you don’t even honour them?! Ridiculous!

A nice find just off of Piccadilly. We needed a Japanese restaurant for a vegetarian, garlic allergic friend who was in town, and Miyama did not disappoint. It was busy but still quiet enough to talk (very unusual! . The food was really good, and the service also. miyama is a really old school, very quiet, Japanese restaurant in the heart of mayfair. it is the kind of place they go to when they simply do not do with the Mayfair crowd, but they are in the neighbourhood and need a good food. her sushi and sashimi is super fresh and service is polite and efficient. we had the special Sashimi plate (picture) and it was great recommended.

Hard to find a good-yet-priced-reasonably Japanese restaurant in Mayfair! Miyama is a good solution. We dined there and had the 42 GBP tasting menu (yes not 75 GBP). Most guests at other tables were Japanese (or Asian). Sushi and sashimi were good, black cod was decent. My scallops were slightly over peppered. Overall the restaurant interior is not the nicest (very white). Staff is nice and very attentive. Will come back!
