Posto molto carino con una vista bellissima sul mare, della cucina che dire...ottima, prodotti freschi e di qualità, servizio gentilissimo.

I had a really good time....perhaps the service was a little absent, the waiters were not very attentive....on the contrary, the owner is a golden person. Stunning location.

I return to Monterosso after a few years and with pleasure I returned to Al Casello where the food is always good. A pleasure to meet the always very kind staff! Lunch facing the sea under an umbrella! Top See you next time

Restaurant at the toll booth, excellent food, very kind and friendly staff, location, my wife and I had lunch on the terrace overlooking the sea, wonderful and romantic, the service was nothing to say, the owner was very helpful and kind, I would recommend it to those who pass through Monterosso, have lunch at the toll booth

un ristorante leggermente fuori dal caos del villaggio affollato, con una terrazza sul mare grazioso. il personale è cordiale e cordiale. la cucina è tradizionale, i piatti sono succulenti e generosi. eravamo in due e abbiamo fatto diverse scelte. per antipasto abbiamo preso le famose acciughe ripiene che si sono rivelate fantastiche. prima abbiamo preso spaghetti con il gusto del mare veramente squisito (e non inconsiderato come spesso accade). ristorante dove andare a mangiare solo se c'è posto sulla bella terrazza sul mare che merita. personale ai tavoli molto gentili con cui è piacevole al dialogo. Servito un fritto di pesce marrone che sapeva molto circa fritto, indice di olio molto avena. molti vini delle 5 terre a prezzi più che corretti, in particolare ho assaggiato un 5 terre biancio az agr. crovara, fruttato, molto ma molto buono. non hanno vini dolci per abbinare dessert, non accettabili per un ristorante di questo tipo. anche se non ci fossero cose negative, personalmente non tornerei

We stopped for dinner, the place is beautiful, the view was excellent, the staff were kind and efficient, I took a first course of spaghetti with a selection of fish and I give it a pass, the pasta was a little loose from the sauce and seemed pre-cooked (also because it was served to me in 10 minutes) my partner took a caprese with tomato and buffalo mozzarella (in my opinion it was poor, it wasn't whole but 4 slices) of sufficient quality but just enough value for money. My general impression is that it is a place with a tourist menu, however overall I give it a passing grade.

Mix between great and bad: The food (tuna tartare as a starter and the seafood spaghetti as a main course) was really very tasty and the ambience with a view of the sea is also very nice. It feels like you can see the same thing on site as in the reviews here: if you're lucky with the waiter/waitress then you might get nice service, but we were unlucky and our waitress didn't feel like being friendly at all that day. If you don't care about service/friendliness, you can definitely eat delicious food here. Tuna tartare 2x spaghetti with seafood, 2x glasses of wine and a bottle of water for just under €80 is ok.
