Delicious high tea. ARTIFICIAL flowers in tearoom opposite Kew gardens is unacceptable. Most disappointing. Not a fresh flower or plant in sight.

We stayed in the rooms here, the rooms were lovely and comfortable breakfast was a good variety of options and very tasty and service was excellent would definitely recommend

The Maid of Honour pastry and Sausage Roll we ordered both came very hot straight out of a microwave so the puff pastries were soggy. This is a culinary sin sadly indicative of untrained kitchen staff and/or poor management. Speisekarte ansehen

We ordered the Special Taster tea and were not disappointed. There is certainly enough tasty food to satisfy you. It was somewhat busy on a Friday at 1:00pm but service was still quite good. The leek and cheddar pie was excellent! I was quite happy that the almond orange cake was not too sweet.

A great place for afternoon tea after a visit to Kew Gardens. The staff are so friendly and the high tea and savoury high tea are such good value. A nice selection of sandwiches, delicious quiche and lovely light scones. The high tea includes one of the cakes or pastries from the shop. There are loads to choose from and the portions are very generous. Can't wait to go back!

I was treated to a special Mother's Day tea by my family. There was a complimentary drink included so we had kir. The portions were large and the tea shop gave us a box to take uneaten food home. We had sandwiches, scones and cake plus sausage roll, quiche and meat or fish pie. All was very high quality and made on the premises. We especially enjoyed the sausage roll and pie. Visited in December and managed a quick tea and cake before going to Kew Xmas lights, which was ok, so decided to go back for a lunch . Very disappointing, 2 roasts were plates very hot and veg dried out( microwaved?? , limited choice of cakes , surprising for a lunchtime ….. bottomless tea ? You have to ask for a refill, and based on strength of 2nd pot, just put hot water in original pot but no new tea leaves …..seemed one girl serving most of tables, working hard so no criticism of her ….. better places to spend £30 per head

It has been some time since our last visit, but I was happy to see that we could now make reservations in advance. I was even more pleased to find that nothing had changed. We decided to have the high tea, which included sandwiches, scones, and a maid of honour served with tea. It was a truly English experience, with a carpeted floor, frilly curtains, and fringed lampshades, as well as the traditional service of the goodies on tiered stands. The sandwiches were delicious, the scones were the lightest I've ever tasted, and the maid of honour was particularly exceptional. I had High Tea for lunch and the sandwiches (cucumber, ham, cheese, salmon, and egg mayo) were soft and delicious, reminiscent of the lunches my mum used to make for me. The little scones and choice of cake from the cabinet were also delightful. We opted for The Maids, a baked custard tart, which was delicious. As I left in the mid-afternoon, I noticed a tempting black forest cake that I will have to try next time. The restaurant had a large kitchen in the back, and I believe everything was made in-house.
