"We visited here as 3 families with children and after a friendly welcome were seated at a table outside. Realising there were still 30 mins before dinner was served, we were told we could sit and have a drink while waiting. However, 20 mins later we were still waiting, despite asking several times and finally went and ordered at the bar. The food options were fairly good (not great for a veggie) however, one meal had to be sent back 3 times as it was cold and the children’s chips were tepid at best. The magret de canard and lamb were both delicious but would not choose the omelette or chicken burger again. Unfortunately, as per other experiences, no apology was made for the cold food and no offer of a reduced bill was made. Overall, I would not recommend which is a shame as a couple of the dishes were really very good."

"We go to Maggie’s every Saturday on market day and adore it! The Vegan ice coffee is simply incredible and so delicious with vegan ice cream added. A great selection of cakes and the vegan options are always well thought out and tasty.. even homemade Vegan Mayo! We love it and send all our guests here!! Corinne and Jess are so warm and welcoming too, especially if you have no idea what to order… their recommendations are on point. It’s the go to place when you’re in the area!"

"Reunion with friends. Following a probably electric problem, 3 dishes offered instead of the complete card. The fish and chips for which we had moved was not available. We ate burgers and squirting pork, good! For dessert, ice cream, cheesecake and pudding sticky. The dishes are good and garnished. The service is only in English so be careful if you're sucking in Shakespeare's language like me. We were alone this Saturday night so we'll be back."

"There are two essential criteria that any restaurant should provide, excellent food and good service. This restaurant failed to deliver both. We were a large party and although we had confirmed, they did not have a table ready for us, this was eventually resolved. In...receiving the menus we then discovered that our fixed price menu did not include a dessert (normal practice in most parts of this area of France) we explained that it did not state that on the website the reaction by the Manager of the restaurant was the worst I have ever seen. We were informed that was the way it is and how could they make money (not our problem) by providing a dessert as well in the price. We attempted to find a way out of the impasse and suggested to the Manager perhaps a small scoop of ice cream might suffice. This compromise solution was greeted with yet another lecture. We accepted the situation but what came next was a very disappointing lunch. The starter of soup was adequate, it was followed by a sharing platter of small dishes including one with bits of chicken in a split sauce, salad and other uninteresting small dishes that would not have been accepted as quality tapas, but this was the only offer as the main plate. So, if you like your restaurant with food which at best you could call okay with service providing a commentary on what the financial position of their restaurant aligned to their offering this is the one for you!"
