Ocean Fresh - Speisekarte

Mate I PAID about £21 quid for a fish and chips! I pay for Uber one so I got it for like 17/18 quid! I will never order this again this should never cost more than a 7 quid Oh I got some curry sauce too

Had fish and chips here twice in the past few weeks the first time was Excellent , on the second visit the fish had an ammonia taste which tells me it should have been fresher ! Did not make me I’ll ! But got me thinking !

We come here regularly maybe 1 fever 3 months and the battered Sausages are the best! Perfectly Crispy on the outside. The chips are massive portions and the curry sauce is delicious. My 4 year old loves the kids meals which is a small battered fish and chips there are other choices too. Very good value for money! We wouldn't go anywhere else.

We are regular restaurant and takeaway visitors. Today 6.15 on 12th January I collected my gluten free large haddock small chips and large peas. NO BAG!!!!!! By the time I got home the fish and chips were almost unwrapped, fish was very soggy. Oh dear. What happened tonight. Usually great food and service. Totally et down and very disappointed. I will try again another week but look forward to your response.

We used to be regular customers at Ocean Fresh but got out of the habit during Covid. Today, therefore, was our first visit for a couple of years. First impression was that it's still immaculate. Service still friendly and efficient. We were pleasantly surprised by the menu to find that, in spite of soaring fish prices, the standard fish and chip meal is only £11.20. Drinks are still exceptionally good value. The food was up to expectations, very fresh and generous portions. We shall definitely become regular customers again.

This was our first visit to Ocean Fresh at lunchtime. Saturday lunchtime and we fancied some fish and chips. A lovely clean restaurant that serves not only fish and chips but a large selection of English and Greek meals. It's also licensed. We enjoyed our fish and chips, obviously cooked fresh with thin crispy batter. Together with a bottle of Chardonnay, a truly enjoyable meal. We'll be back, not just at lunchtime for fish and chips but in an evening to try some of the main dishes on the menu. Despite being fairly local, we've missed out on this gem for too long. Speaking to the staff, it seems that booking is advised.

We have used this takeaway for 30 years but since using uber the quality has dived. We have threatened lots of times to stop using them but loyalty has made us go back. Not this time. We ordered at 15.05hrs with a 15-25 minute delivery time. It arrived at 15.50hrs and was obviously freezing so I asked the driver how many other deliveries he had done first. He said none so therefore the food must have left Ocean Fresh cold. £37 wasted ! As it was too cold to enjoy. Did it even come from Ocean Fresh ? I used to love the food at this place and feel sad to say that I would not recommend it to anyone now if it was from there. You can see from the photos what we left

This chippy is just bad and customer service is shocking. I went there a year ago and I asked for slight amendment in my order: I just wanted some greek style chicken and some chips on the side, I was told by a rude guy wearing glasses, “that’s not on the menu” , the menu item was a wrap with the same chicken and chips on the side. Now, was I being awkward just not wanting the wrap but just the chicken? I was told “I can’t just make up the menu every time someone asks me” .. way to go to run business! Not impressed at all. Very diappointed not to be able to buy drinks with food. They have too steps into the shop and no ramp. The owners wire previoysly had said just to ask if you needed help. Soi asked what drinks they had but they couldn't be bothered to help. Why board up access. But they help someone with obvious disabilities. Likewise there menuis above thw counter so i cant aee it. Just ask she said but i darent as they dont want to. Portion size was smaller than normal and lukewarm. This chippy must be making far too much moneyif they can afford to turn away £5ish for 3 bottles of pop. Last time i wrote a review they asked me to remove it.
