"I wanted to see what all the hype was about, but I wasn't very impressed with the food or the staff at this restaurant. When we walked in, there was a strange atmosphere that made the whole experience feel awkward. The staff seemed uninterested and unfriendly, with one girl too busy playing on her phone behind the bar. The food arrived in only 5 minutes, which made me skeptical, and it was very disappointing. It lacked flavor and felt like basic pub fare at best, definitely not up to Smokehouse standards. The portions were small, and I expected more for the prices. The gluten-free main menu had a good selection, but the dessert options were lacking. And to top it off, I was charged $3 for a can of cream soda!"

Brilliant food and service. The meat was tender and delicious and the chips were also very tasty. We had the sharing platter for 44 pound and well worth the money

The menu was very restricted which I was not told at time of booking. There was only one other table in there and therefore the host was loitering which was at times quite uncomfortable

Had a fantastic experience and meal here on 14th Feb. Arrived without a booking but we were given a table prior to the restaurant being full for Valentines. We were served by Harry who made it a perfect dining experience. The food is fantastic from the main to the the desert. We can’t wait to go back, thank you! X Speisekarte ansehen

absolutely love the chequers smokehouse, were many paints and throughout enjoy it as usual, visited last night (Friday oktober booked a table for, personal were nice eating was delicious and even offered, they take out the boxes to take the rest of our eating what we did, although eating is something about prices I think the highit of the staff and fantastic atmosphere out because that will be back

I guess the kitchen staff weren't properly trained as regards allergies. my man is allergic to shellfish that did not appear on the menu. the restaurant was warned on the booking form and the waiting staff said. our main course was significantly delayed as the cook “cleaning the kitchen down”. my man had a reaction later this evening in a sound with cross-contamination. tight chest, crisp mouth. we do not shave back.

"A lovely place to enjoy a meal with friends, the food was excellent, surrounds amazing, enhanced by great decor of tasteful Christmas touches. This place had the feel of a fantastic country pub, the service was fine as well. So what took the polish off my visit, as everything I’ve said so far has been positive? There are a couple of things that’s left a bad taste in my mouth; the first is the price, obviously you expect to pay for quality, however, I feel that this particular ‘bird’ was taking a bit more seed than it needed. I was charged £4 for a pint of blackcurrant and soda, with ice admittedly, however I felt it was extortionate, I might as well of had an alcoholic drink for those sort of prices. The other thing I know caused the leader of our group some anxiety, and inconvenience to the rest of us, which was that the ‘card reader’ wasn’t working. The ways to pay were cash or bank transfer. Please, if this happens let the people who have booked know, so that they can ensure they have cash, and can let the rest of us know. Nowadays who carries cash? Not many of us, as it caused us all to limit our drinks orders. Bad for us, and bad for business. So let people know in advance, or the very least post it on your website. Good management would be, to have a back up method of card payment of your current provider if it’s so flakey. Don’t let such a fundamental basic thing, let your establishment down."
