"The place is off the main walking streets of La Spezia. The space is cute and nicely decorated. Not catered for tourists but very welcoming. Several local Italians came in while we were there and no tourists which seemed like a good sign. The owner and chef were very friendly. The food was pretty good. Not mind blowing but good. I ordered the menu degustation (prix fixe) was enormous. If with two it could be easily shared and a good value either way. My wife ordered a pesto pasta dish that she thought was very well cooked and not too heavy."

The visit offered very professional service but some of the food was awful . Clearly the chef had never tasted the food before it was served. The staff was very responsive but the meal was ruined.

Spezia is a town where reservations are necessary. They not only waited for us to show up to say they were out of pasta and seafood so it was too late to make a reservation somewhere else but also made us cancel on the fork so we couldn’t review them and they wouldn’t get in trouble. Ho pranzato in un paio un po 'per caso in questo piccolo posto mio marito e io cammini per le strade di spezie e abbiamo 'scoperto' questo delizioso ristorante 'sty' a pranzo. scoperta molto interessante: accoglienza, servizio, tavolino ma attento ai dettagli, e cucina davvero di qualità. Non posso parlare del conto perché non abbiamo ancora pagato ma complimenti per la cucina ben al di sopra della media. noi torneremo sicuramente! Consigliato a chi ama la semplicità e la raffinatezza.

davvero una bella scoperta per me che vengo da Parma. il posto non era pieno. il servizio molto buono, attento e cordiale. qualità, presentazione e quantità di piatti notevoli. la qualità della materia prima è immediatamente percepita. tagliaerba rossa e fritto (con tocchi di spigola) da ricordare. Il cuoco sa cosa fa. abbiamo provato diversi osteri di spezie tutto molto buono ma questo, per fissazione, benvenuto e cura nei piatti, giustifica i prezzi un po 'più in alto. Tornerò volentieri.

"My husband and I took the train from Rapallo to La Spezia because we had read about andree. We are so glad that we did. We chose the three course lunch and liked that there were so many options for each course. Once we experienced the food and the perfect wine pairings, we can say that the quality/price ratio was outstanding. My husband saw beef and oysters on the menu, but since we don’t eat meat, Chef Andrea kindly prepared an extra off menu appetizer for him of three raw oysters. Our ordered appetizers were sweet succulent mussels in a velvety cauliflower cream sauce and a delicious artichoke heart with almonds and Castelmagno cheese. For our pasta course we chose the calamarta pasta with black eyed peas and rosemary and the tagliolini with clams both were delicious. For our secondi piatti my husband ordered the red mullet with broccoli, anchovies, pistachios, and a light orange sauce, while I chose today’s catch, which was amberjack wrapped in chard. We switched plates midway, and we were hard pressed to say which was better, because both were fantastic. Each of the courses was paired beautifully with lovely wines from small production vineyards. Unfortunately, we lingered too long over each course and realized after we had ordered dessert that we only had 30 minutes to catch our train back to Rapallo. They insisted that we eat dessert while they called us a cab, and while we wolfed it down (instead of savoring it the way we would have liked to), we only saw after we got back that they never charged us for dessert. Chef Andrea is an extremely talented chef and a warm and generous man who genuinely wants his diners to enjoy his food. What a pleasure it was to briefly make his acquaintance and to have the opportunity to experience this exquisite lunch."
