The food here is so to die for good. It’s true about the fried zucchini incredible. Super cute atmosphere and great staff. Has the crepes and then creme brûlé for desert. Would definitely return the next time I’m in Venice.

En mai 2019, nous avons découvert cet excellent restaurant. il est rapidement devenu un must pour nous. Tout est parfait. la réception est à la fois chaude et professionnelle, les plats sont tous aussi savoureux que l'autre et le vin est un nectar. cette fois nous y sommes allés deux fois en moins de 10 jours et les deux fois étaient des moments de pur bonheur.

This restaurant was suggested by a Venetian friend as a family owned, locally sourced food. We were very impressed with our meal and the flavors. We had the delicious fried zucchini flowers which are filled with ricotta and cheese, their signature appetizer, and the wonderful...saur marinated sardines with onions, raisins, and pine nuts. I had amazing an gespatcho soup which tasted like summer harvest! The fried mixed fish were so many different types of lagoon fish and prawns served with lemon and mayonnaise. Yummy!! Go try it for yourself!!

Celebrating our 25th anniversary in Italy, we had the most wonderful and delicious dinner at Osteria Oliva Nera! We’ve had some amazing meals this trip, but our dinner at Osteria Oliva Nera certainly “took the cake”! Whether eating their signature stuffed zucchini or their sea...bass, grilled vegetables and lasagna (best ever! or their delectable desserts and cappuccino, literally everything was incredible and fabulous! Also, the staff was extraordinary—professional, engaging, gracious, and warm (our waiter (male in his 20’s? was phenomenal ! On your next visit to Venice, please be sure to make a reservation and treat yourself to a culinary masterpiece at Osteria Oliva Nera!

I come every year to oliva nera and every time it is an unforgettable and wonderful experience. the welcoming, warm and friendly owners put the atmosphere right; eating is just delicious. the filled zucchini blossoms are a delicate, full of taste and slightly roasted. ask...for the specialties, there are always handmade pasta or gnocchi with fresh and local ingredients that are worth trying. the mixed fried is a sublime dish with roasted fish, mush and sweet. it is so light and fresh, a true masterpiece that is perfect to share. her wine card is also local and excellent. this is a jewel in venice, it is now my regular going to the restaurant every time I come here and every time I leave with...

another five-star hit from the side of our Italian food guide. before I start, oliva nera is not a place for lovers of foaming, knocking and other ugly flames. this is a family-run device that is warm, well managed and has a cook that. the Italian tradition to get the best ingredients and treat them with respect. at the beginning, the filled zucchini flowers of my wife were wonderful. it followed this with a daily special of beet root and potato gnocchi with mushrooms that was absolutely perfect.
