"I praised every bit. I admired my oma for eating here and we both enjoyed each bit! I would also like to say, as I have seen, that these dear people receive a star review that says that the staff was rude. Well, I just want to say how we were there at the time that I can vouch that was actually not the case. in fact, the customers who were rude were swearing at the personal, the door blasphemed and even a point of letting it open to create a scene and try to ruin the atmosphere for all others. I don't understand why people think that behavior is so good and acceptable. but despite this the atmosphere was fab and like the profis they are, they all remained polite, which is a certificate for the team! so would highly recommend if they are in bakery. the whole food is produced locally and the cake is made home! the Bakewell dart was amazing! actually it was all delicious! stop the fabulous work!"

"Quaint pub restaurant with good service and great food. I booked this for my partners Birthday on Friday. Good range of beers, wines and other drinks, Loved the home made food, great to see something other than burgers. I have recently been diagnosed with a dairy intolerance so the chickpea curry was absolutely delicious with rice and popadums. My partner had the steak and unicorn pie, the unicorn being an ale they sell …we laughed with the friendly manager as I’d thought it might be horse meat! The pie was proper home made not processed and the steak was melt in the mouth , absolute quality and fresh veg too . Nice atmosphere and a quirky range of Toby jugs , must be hundreds of them and just fun looking at them especially the old logos. Friendly service and all in all pleased with our choice. Will visit again."

"We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch at the White Lion yesterday. My 2.5 year old daughter was delighted to have toys and a book waiting for her at her highchair, (and the adults were too! Fantastic menu with something for everyone. Perfect children's menu and staff very attentive to all. My daughter ordered her own food with the waitress and was treated as importantly as an adult. Thank you all, we will be back x"

"Dropped in for a bite to eat after a busy day exploring Chatsworth House. It was a Saturday around dinner time (with England playing in the rugby world cup semi final) so we were sceptical about getting a table. The lady who served us was excellent. She pushed a few tables together to accommodate our group of 9. The food took a little while to come out, but was very much worth the wait. The chicken tandoori kebab is incredible, but easily enough for 2! Great spot to visit if you are in Bakewell. Food drinks: Excellent pub grub. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 4"

"I and my father visited this beautiful caffe today in bakewell. it is beautiful with a lot of beautiful decoration and beautiful. eating was delicious and the staff is really nice and friendly. always there if you need it. I would recommend it to anyone who visits bakewell. we have eaten and eaten."
