"This restaurant might be our favorite restaurant in all of Italy. We loved it so much, we went twice during our stay in Siena. The food is outstanding, not only from the homemade bread and complimentary beef tartar, but to the must have crispy egg with pecorino cheese foam, cocoa, mushroom and truffle. Even our kids loved it. The restaurant is breathtaking housed in a 1,000 year old building and the staff is friendly, welcoming and fun. We loved it so much, we ditched our kids one night and went back as a couple for a romantic date."

"31/12/21 dinner to say little magnificent, we could not ask better to conclude the year. refined and well-kept dishes, perfect quantity to get all the menu without redecoding excellent wines, practically always the full glass and matched with the dish that you had in front. 110 and praise for gaspacho with raw and cooked fish. not less the duck and tuna, both melted in contact with the palate. last but not by importance the service, young people of an availability and disarming sympathy. Really congratulations! Super quality/price, we will return."

"A disappointing evening overall. Started well with friendly welcome and reasonable initial service, however as the night went on it became more disappointing and frustrating. We went for the taster menu with wine pairing (3 wines) The good points 1. The first three courses were excellent albeit served slowly 2. Good location and ambience The bad points 1. Main course over cooked 2. The deserts were disappointing to say the least 3. No information as to why the wine was paired with the food 4. Tables left uncleared despite diners having left a considerable period of time before 5. Staff going for visible smoking breaks close to the restaurant 6. Painfully slow service. Two and half hours for 3 courses with the deserts only brought when we wanted to leave and pay 7. Waiter not interested when we mentioned the problems with no thanks for us visiting the restaurant 8. Very expensive A very disappointing evening at was meant to be the highlight of our stay in Siena. A long way from a Michelin restaurant with many better places close by. Not recommended"

"the place is of modest size but very well maintained and welcoming. round tables welcome up to 5 seats on comfortable chairs and red leather. is a good-level local but at the same time within reach of anyone. is perfect for a romantic evening as for a dinner for work or family or among a few friends. there are also some 2-seat outdoor tables. the menu is very wide and ranges from fish to meat. raw material is excellent and professionally treated. the dishes to the view are rich, beautiful and extremely appetizing how exceptional on the palate, I for personal health problems I can not eat more than one size and reduced but in this case it was all so good and perfect that I ate with immense satisfaction three different dishes, with final dessert and I returned home full but satisfied and especially the day after I was fine and I almost wanted to return. the owner enzo not only is a great chef but together with sonia his wife, chief room and waitress are impeccable guests, make you feel like kings at home, with their professionalism, courtesy education and friendliness. In short, for anyone who wants to spend an evening in tranquility savoring amazing dishes this is the ideal place. P.S.I forgot the price quality ratio is great and I'm also reductive, it's certainly not a trattoria but a restaurant of a certain level but despite this the prices are for all the cost of the dishes I photographed are almost all around 19€ each and they are all worth them. "very nice and elegant and special place located in the center of siena and very close to the cathedral. from the other reviews seen I have made a good expectation of this place but the sin that my experience was not so positive. the staff was kind and kind but the service too slow, after ordering we waited much more than an hour to receive the appetizer. the dishes are very cared for and treated but there was something that he lacked, especially the dessert too little. the prices are average high, definitely reflect the local. Overall it is good but I wouldn't come back so gladly."
