Went in for lunch, was served what seemed like yesterday chips. Cardboard chicken nuggets. Very dry. Very much Wetherspoons food not homemade food. Wasn’t a very nice atmosphere, felt like unwanted custom. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I was visiting Norwich from Reading and decided to stop in for a meal. All I can say is wow—what incredible food! I left feeling completely satisfied. The staff were incredibly friendly as well. Four of us ate here today. Been past the pub so often but never stopped. We have been missing out! 3 roast dinners and a huge pie all much better than any others we have had recently. Good size portions,(huge! very tasty and decent gravy. Staff were really friendly without being pushy , and the whole experience was so good. We hadn't planned to stop here, but our hunger led us in. What a delightful discovery! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the locals made us feel very welcome. We both ordered the Lamb Shanks from the specials board and absolutely loved our meals. Although we live quite far away, we would gladly try anything from the extensive menu, which is reasonably priced given today's standards. Plus, it's dog-friendly and offers onsite parking. Price per person: £10–20.

I visited with my son and daughters and their partners, as we were staying at a local hotel but fancied something different. We all had pies, and they were absolutely delicious; my lamb and mint pie was sooo good. And there was a good choice of ciders!! The landlord was a very friendly, genial host.
