"The food at the restaurant was delicious, but I was not a fan of the practice of immediately placing a large quantity of poppadoms in front of us without asking. They charged us for the poppadoms, even though we didn't request so many. In the future, it is best to clarify if you want poppadoms and how many you would like upon being seated, as the cost can add up quickly. Despite this issue, the food was still excellent."

"This is one of the best carveries I have ever experienced. The meat was exceptional and the atmosphere in this friendly local pub was great. The dining room was large and clean. I would definitely recommend this place. I was pleasantly surprised to find wheelchair access as well. The price per person is reasonable at £10-20. Overall, I give the food, service, and atmosphere all a rating of 5. I highly recommend trying the Sunday Carvery here."

"Hadn’t eaten from here in years so ordered a lockdown takeaway as treat. Staff called me about my sons allergies to discuss and advise me. They were very helpful and knowledgable about their dishes. This was a breath of fresh air to me as a parent with anaphylactic child. Food was all ready on arrival to collect. Very organised, slick service. Food tasted fantastic! Good portion size. We will definitely be ordering another takeaway! Questioning why we haven’t before! Highly recommend!"

"We just returned home from Coyote Bar in Wisbech. I booked a deal on Groupon for this restaurant, which is located down a quaint cobbled lane off the main street. The staff were very friendly and polite. For starters, we had the chicken strips which were freshly prepared fillets that were juicy and succulent, served with BBQ sauce and a side garnish. For our main course, we ordered the t-bone steak which was cooked perfectly to our liking. It was a refreshing change to have such a good quality steak, and it could be served with a jacket potato or chips, onion rings, mushrooms, and tomatoes. It was the best steak we've ever had. Although the desserts looked delicious, we were too full to have any. We will definitely have to go back to try them soon. I highly recommend this place for excellent value for money."

"I visited the Jolly Fryer with my wife for a snack. We both had sausage and chips and we were charged £3.50 each, totalling £7. I don 't usually go into fish and chip shops as I think they are always over priced and if you ask for, for instance, fish and chips, they don 't ask you if you want small or large chips, they just charge you the large chip price. Anyway I am always checking the prices first to make sure I 'm not overcharged. On the board it says 'SMALL CHIPS £1.40 ' SAUSAGE £1.70, so this should have been £3.10 each, totalling £6.20 but we were charged £7. When I queried this, without having to explain anything really, the lady said 'the chips £1.40 are a half a bag of chips '. I said that is a bit of a con. She immediately, without me asking , went to the till and gave me some money back. So basically, when you look up for a small bag of chips, and that 's all it says, a small bag of chips, for £1.40, you are automatically, at the till, charged £1.80 and if you query it, they say they advertise a small bag of chips for £1.40 is only half a bag of chips, but it does not say this. Have you ever been to a chip shop and asked for half a bag of chips? What a con this is. But if you look on their table menu, small chips is £1.80. Its all a bit confusing, but they are ripping you off!"
