"To anyone visiting beautiful Riquewihr for the first time, it's worth knowing which are the touristic and which are the classic Alsatian restaurants. Au Dolder is very much in the latter category (also see Le Tire Bouchon, La Grappe D'Or, Brendelstub). Welcoming professional staff and all the classic Alsatian dishes cooked to a high level, with one or two others so there is something for everyone. Portions are substantial and even for three adults two dishes is enough. Good selection of local wines, fairly priced."

We were entitled to a very professional staff, a suggestion force for the wine agreement, and to listen to our desires. The chef comes to greet you and presents his dishes on the cake. "friendly welcome attentive in a beautiful room not very noisy even full. The house mistress is smiling and coming. it accurately presents the approach of the leader. a discreet and effective sommelier, a wine map organized with intelligence and originality. a careful team with a real care and detail: example hot towel with rosemary on arrival and choice of knives, a beautiful initiative. the idea of eating vegetables throughout a meal seems simple yet the work around the ingredients is perfect, the flavors are sublimated and totally preserved. the assembly of all the elements of the dishes together forms an additional dish. this perfectly successful work, shows both the originality of the chef, his mastery, his ability to manage all flavors with true gustative intelligence. This meal led us to discover, to assemble together without any doubt about it or wanted to take the chef to us. At the end of this meal, we traveled through the gustative universe of a chef and a team who knew for three hours to bring us real gastronomic happiness. Thank you."

"L'Alchemille is a 1 star Michelin restaurant located in the Alsatian village of Kaysersberg.The menu here is a surprise, you just get to choose between 5, 7 or 9 course. The chef will gives what what he wants, what's fresh that time in his garden, and what he feels like cooking. I like the element of surprise so it wasn't an issue. Before you're asked if there are any ingredients you don't eat, or if you have any allergies,Service is good, not so much fluent in English but in a way or another you get to communicate. Wine list is good and includes wines for everyone's budget, somellier is more towards selling expensive wines, but he knows his job.Dinner kicked off with a bottle of Cremant,a nicely presented amouse bouche and fresh bread, It then followed with a variety of dishes which included potato mousse, beef tomato with basil snow. deer tartare, salmon, mustard zabaion, pigeon leg, munster and 2 desserts. The star of the night was the beef tomato with herbs and basil snow, followed by the pigeon with glazed peas, carrot puree and pigeon juice. To finish off we were given some petit fours, not bad but it can be improved.We later had a chat with chef Jerome Jaegle who surely has a passion for what he does, and no wonder he was awarded a Michelin star, his creativity on a daily basis is something few can do and maintain such a standard.Total came to around €130 including mid priced wine, 9 course is reasonably priced at €78.If you're in the area, it's a place you'd love to visit. I'll be back."
