"The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, although some of the staff could benefit from additional customer service training. Overall, the experience was decent, but it didn't stand out, and first impressions are important. We waited 40 minutes for the last starter to arrive after the first one, which wasn't ideal. The waitress attributed the delay to a change in our party size; we had one less person, but we had informed the pub about this two hours in advance, so that excuse didn't quite make sense. On a positive note, the main courses and desserts came out promptly and together. However, the bill initially included a charge for an extra glass of wine, which was quickly corrected once we brought it up."

another very nice meal with friends in the oak. we expected a Sunday roast after the Sunday menu, but the only available bread cake was a Christmas roast with all that trim! had enough Christmas dinner thanks so that was disappointing. However, the alternatives on the menu and the specials were very good and for missing traditional Sunday roasting. great service of very friendly staff. many thanks. I'll see you soon.

We were the last sitting so the place was empty at 16:45 on a Sunday evening. The only other table there were sending food back that was cold. My starter of hot smoked salmon and 'blood orange ' salad which was £8.95 arrived and it was a few flakes of salmon, a handful of leaves and what was obviously satsuma segments. Blood orange does not have segments like that. When I questioned the price and orange segments, the waiter said he would check with the kitchen and didn 't come back. The liver parfait was fine but overall the food and the service where underwhelming, the staff were disinterested. For what we paid it was very disappointing.
