"My wife and I had her 50th birthday party at this amazing wine bar last week. Susan and Ally were excellent hosts, they really know how to interact with people and organize an event. The food was fantastic, and the drinks (beers, wines, and Gins) were great as well. The music was on point (they even played Irish rover!) and everyone had a fabulous time. Our friends and family from Peterborough, London, Bristol, and the South Coast all raved about the venue and hosts. We often visit on Saturdays and have the same wonderful experience every time. This is definitely the best place in Deeping by far. Thank you once again to Apello and Punk for everything. - Robbie."

Nottys is so homely, great wine and gin choices. Accommodating for a vegan board whilst the rest of us had cheese boards :

With friends taking part in a great charity quiz. What a fabulous night, lovely atmosphere, good range of questions and nice wine. Toilets also exceptionally clean.

I have nothing negative to say about this lovely little spot: a buzzing atmosphere, yummy food and cocktails and genuinely nice people working there. Thoroughly recommend. It’s small so book a table!

My friend and I went to this restaurant and enjoyed some drinks and appetizers. The food was of high quality and reasonably priced. The staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was delightful.

I just love the formal informality of a coffee/wine bar with a small food menu and a well balanced wine and gin offer. Freshly baked quiche and a ploughman’s platter did the trick all served up with a smile and bucket of excellent ambience. What a nice place.

Even in these COVID times Notty’s is wonderful calm, safe place to be. They have a good range of wine, lovely platters of food, a great atmosphere and friendly staff. It’s not a huge establishment but that really doesn’t matter, in fact it adds to the appeal. Hopefully Notty’s will be in Deeping for years to come.

I am starting to become a regular in this lovely little Wine Bar in Market Deeping. I love the fact that you can reserve a table to guarantee your seat. There is a vast selection of wines by the glass and also some delicious cheese and charcuterie plates and pizzas. This little gem is well worth a visit if you are in Market Deeping.

This is a special place to enjoy wine and food with friends or family. There is always a warm friendly welcome. There is a variety of wine, cocktails and beers on offer to meet most tastes. It’s worth reserving a table as it does get busy and it’s not a large establishment but that is the beauty of it as the cosy atmosphere adds to your experience. We are lucky to have this place on our doorstep and would highly recommend a visit.

If you're planning a night out with your friends, Notty's is the perfect choice. The drinks are top-notch, with a wide selection including soft drinks, cocktails, flavored gin, wine, hot chocolate, and coffee all available without even having to visit the bar. The food is also fantastic, with meat and cheese platters offering a sophisticated way to enjoy a meal with friends. The lively atmosphere, friendly owners, and excellent service make for a fun and unforgettable evening.

"The Stag Inn is a delightful looking pub overlooking the small green in the village of Barkston near Grantham. Internally the pub is clean and tidy with a range of two and four seater tables with New England shades of light blue on the painted table legs in the restaurant area. We didn’t venture into the pub side so can’t vouch for the decor in there. We arrived unannounced just after opening time of 12 and were offered a table with no difficulty. There was a menu of the usual offerings of fish and chips and a range of burgers together with roast salmon, chargrilled pork chop, a leek and cauliflower cheese pot pie, ham egg and chips and a vegetable lasagne amongst others. A specials chalkboard hung on the far wall and the crab and prawn salad with Mediterranean bread sounded so good we both opted for it. That was a mistake as we were to find out. The meals were reasonably quick to arrive and were served up in two large bowls with a dusting of paprika round the edges. What hit me immediately was the large flaccid green lettuce leaf draped over the edge of the bowl, together with a whole half-a-lemon that we each had. A small wedge would be perfect. The bread tasted sweet and was as far from the Mediterranean as it could possibly be apart from the occasional input of sundried tomato. What irked me most though was that the bread was delivered up pre-buttered with what looked like some bright yellow catering spread. A small ramakin of real butter between the two of us would work so much better. When asked if everything was okay I mentioned this and was told that chef would be informed. Having said all that the crab and prawn salad was full of flavour and sat on a nice mixed salad of red peppers, lettuce, red onion and cornichons. A word of advice to the wise….. don’t sit at the table near the restaurant counter as this is where the pub’s phone is located. On at least two occasions the phone was left to ring unanswered by the staff, presumably as they were busy elsewhere (the pub was by no means full) and was right behind my head! The volume of the ringer was high and it would have been a more pleasant experience for us if, firstly, it was answered and, secondly, the volume was turned down. On the plus side the staff were polite and helpful but the food not so great."
