Shimla Spice Takeaway

Visited for the first time two weeks ago. All the food was fantastic, hot and fresh! Staff were really chatty and helpful especially the owners son. Have since ordered a takeaway which was equally as nice. Will definitely return, highly recommended.

We went for a meal tonight and it was amazing. From the moment we got there the service was excellent and we were looked after all night. The starters were really tasty and really big portions. The main meal was delicious and we all really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend a meal here.

The restaurant was absolutely stunning, and I have to say that the tikka masala was the best I've ever had. All the dishes were served piping hot and tasted incredibly fresh. When I visit from Scotland, there’s nothing better than a quick call for a Shimla Spice takeaway for my family. Everyone is friendly, delivery is as promised and the food is amazing and unsurpassed value for money. I rarely write reviews these days but this is great restaurant food on takeaway. Still waiting for expansion to Kilmarnock. You’ll make a killing! Thank you.

Large restaurant but quickly got very busy (Saturday night) so obviously popular. Lots of staff all very friendly and helpful. Because they were so busy I did need to attract their attention, but then they would come very quickly. Food was excellent. I didn’t have one but be warned the nan is the size of a pillow case. Probably not one each. Not licensed but lots of people had brought their own drinks with them

Visited for about the 5th time on Saturday night having booked a table. As soon as we sat down the waiter asked for our order gave us no time. Starters were excellent but the Dhansak and Tikka Massala were very tasteless and disappointing. After eating we were again rushed by our waiter probably as there was a huge queue waiting for tables. It's a shame we had this poor experience as we have had some great meals here. When up for the football will now look for another match day restaurant. Speisekarte ansehen

We had a pre-booked table for 8 people, and it was pretty chaotic. Some of us ordered starters and some didn’t. So when they came, we had an extra chicken tikka for some reason. And someone’s main mixed grill came with the starters instead of mains. Then when the mains arrived that same person got ANOTHER mixed grill which was very confusing. The curries weren’t the best either, also weirdest version of a chicken korma I’ve ever seen, usually just chicken but it had sultanas and all sorts in it. The service was pretty poor, quite rude really, just throwing stuff on the table almost. Won’t be returning here in a hurry, which is a shame because In the past we’ve always spoke highly of it.

I made a reservation for a table for 14 people at this restaurant, but the service and waiting times were disappointing. We waited about 30 minutes for our starters, and one of them was incorrect so one person had to wait even longer. It took another 60 minutes for our main courses to arrive. We ordered two family-sized naan breads but received two regular-sized ones instead. Additionally, the chips we ordered never arrived, and we were given extra rice that we did not order. The restaurant also tried to charge us for items we never received, but after bringing it to their attention, it was corrected. We had to ask for cutlery, and despite the large group, we were all crammed into a table me...

Visited for a birthday dinner, turns out to be the worst birthday ever with terrible food and service. Arrived on time and had to wait half an hour just for the staff down, and they the plates to our table which were dirty, and then proceeded to clean them in front of us with a cloth. And yet when we gave them back and asked for clean plates, they pretended to clean them and give us new ones, but instead gave us the same dirty plates. The glasses were then brought out and again were dirty, one guest even received a glass with a lipstick stain from a previous customer already on it! Then it was time for the food.
