Ship Inn - Speisekarte

Visited on 20/12/23 lunch for 3 plus Dog. Second time we have had lunch here, both excellent. Service and food both well worth a visit. Mad us feel very welcome.

Value for money, lovely gardens, dog friendly, clean and tidy. Staff helpful. Only problem is its on the main road in wool so not very quiet or peaceful. If you have come for a chill out in Dorset but don't mind the traffic noise then its OK.

Popped in on the way home from Weymouth after a few days away. We are a family group of 13 and they were very helpful, great service very good menu and the food was excellent highly recommended will definitely go back again when we are that way Speisekarte ansehen

Unable to cope with large bookings gad to wait for food to come out so we could all eat at the same time . When it came to dessert we were missing at least 5 if it wasn’t for who’s birthday it was helping out giving out the food it wouldn’t have gone well need to be more experienced in large bookings

We dropped in, hoping to get a meal. A table was found in the bar, as we had my dog. We had a very friendly welcome. The menu was extensive. We decided on Scampi and I had faggots. To say they were the best I've ever had is an understatement, I even emailed the butcher. The scampi was good, too. We both had Dorset apple cake, which again was beautiful. The whole meal was excellant, and I was glad we stopped. in fact, we are going back tomorrow for Sunday lunch.

Back again tonight as know from few weeks ago how fantastic everything at the Ship Inn was. From the wonderful warm welcome from the staff, spotless and welcoming atmosphere and terrific food once again. I had the scampi and my partner had the bean casserole. They were both cooked to perfection. Lots of smiles on staffs faces and only too pleased to help. Credit to good management. Went here for a meal early evening and although we hadn’t booked were welcomed. The menu was quite comprehensive and we both decided to have a starter and certainly didn’t have to wait too long to have it served. Both were delicious. It didn’t take too long for the main course to arrive and we both ordered the venison rump. We both asked for medium rare but thought it was nearer well done. I found it a bit chewy but my husband managed it better. The onion mash and vegetables were really nice. Neither of us could manage a dessert. The staff were very efficient and friendly and there was a good atmosphere, especially as more diners came in. Would recommend.

We stopped for lunch at this pub on a Saturday. We were warmly greeted and seated in a lovely room. All the waiters and waitresses were extremely kind and professional. We ordered a few starters, including the delicious camembert, which we shared with hot bread and homemade onion chutney. I had chicken and chorizo, while my wife had sea bass and my daughter had the traditional scampi and chips. During our recent visit to Ship Inn Wool, my partner and I encountered an unfortunate experience that compelled me to share our feedback. To our surprise, an unexpected charge of £4.50 for peppercorn sauce was added to both of our meals. This was not disclosed during the ordering process, nor was it mentioned on the menu. Transparency in pricing is crucial for customer satisfaction, and regrettably, this was lacking on this occasion.
