"Snecken Stube 4.0 Snecken Stube had been one of my favorites during my previous visits to Ortisei. We made a Saturday night reservation last week. Service was prompt. We ordered two glasses of wine from an extensive wine list. For dinner we requested a salad to share as a starter. For our main courses we ordered fish and meat dishes. Surprisingly the main courses were very quickly served but the salad was served while we were eating our main course. I had assumed they had forgotten the salad order. We only had a taste of the salad, which was a timing miscue. The food was OK but clearly, we did not have the relaxed dining experience we had in the past."

Good was delicious. Service was great. Found some unique local fares that were very good. Small restaurant so make a reservation but a good choice

Beautiful restaurant with beautiful friendly crews. Service was top notch. Food and wines were very nice and of high quality. The breads served before meal were crunchy and unique. The meal ... was fine. Service was disappointing. We ate here expecting an amazing and authentic meal while it wasn't bad, it wasn't better than any number of meals we had at a hiking huts in Val Gardena. And, arguably, was worse than the best ones we had. I wanted to love this place, and ended up disappointed. The goulash and speck dumplings and all the other dishes we ordered were just ... not very memorable. Perhaps if you come with lower expectations, they will be met.
