Spouter's Corner - Speisekarte

Been going here a long time now. Security are sound as are the staff, however to one new member of staff are you some self appointed policeman, failed policeman or columbo? I 've always had manners in there know quite a few folk who know the real Me.

Been going here quite a few years now. Friendly staff and security. Always find folk I know who I sit and chat with. However to one new member of staff. Are you a barman or some self appointed/failed Policeman or Columbo Mild mannered man. May have to rethink my choice of Pubs.

I am delighted to say that this restaurant offers the best combination of quality, service, and price in the area. The staff is friendly, dependable, and honest. I take back what I said about one of the barmen. As a mild mannered man I shoot from the hip. I realise your job is tough enough. In the service industry you made the right decision in refusing me service, as you probably thought it was in my best interests also you were just doing your job. So no offence intended.

Last visited over 9 years ago returned due to working in London. Positives great selection of beers etc and very good table ordering service via App (recommend due to long waits at the bar) Great prices hence why a lot of ‘professional drinkers’ frequent. Close the bus and underground links. Negatives, Quite smelly best that I can describe as a men’s toilet which in fact (the men’s toilet) smells of a sewer, with the smell drifting into the bar area.

We ordered an Aperol Spritz, but the bartender said they didn't have any. I explained that we had just ordered one 30 minutes ago. It was clear that he didn't want to make it, and he didn't know how. He ended up bringing the cocktail in a wine glass instead of a proper cocktail glass, and he didn't want to listen when I tried to tell him it was the wrong glass. Eventually, his colleagues corrected him and explained that he had made it all wrong. There were no apologies given. We were very disappointed, especially since we are regular visitors to this pub. We have visited Sprout Corner several times while staying in the area, and honestly, it's a bit rough around the edges. However, we understand the charm of it. The prices for drinks are much more affordable than in the more upscale areas of London. Tonight, I had a pint of Coors for £2.85, which turned out to be the worst pint I've had in my 38 years of drinking. I switched to Carlsberg, which was much tastier since they had run out of Stella Artois. For food, we tried the three plates for £14.95, including garlic bread, pizza, and chips with curry. The chips were good, but the pizzas were so thin that they collapsed when picked up. We will definitely return when we are in the area again.

I visited Spouter's Corner for dinner on a work trip to London as I was doing a training session in Wood Green and the pub was close to the Tube station. The pub was busy (arrived 8.15pm on a Monday night) but I managed to find a table with a chair...most tables were occupied. I was visiting alone so used the App to order food and a drink. I fancied a steak but all the main steaks were sold out, so went for the mixed grill, however it was disappointing, the meat being tough and fatty and the piece of steak included in the meal was grizzly and not tender at all, although it tasted decent. I went to visit with my family, I ordered wings which came with Franks hot sauce but it wasn’t Franks hot sauce as my dad ordered wings too and his sauce tasted different to mine. I spoke to one of the servers and told her it’s not franks sauce and asked for it to be changed, she went into the kitchen and came back out saying if I wanted extra then I need to pay. I then told her that it wasn’t franks sauce and wanted franks sauce and proceeded to give her my sauce back to the kitchen. The lady then proceeded to take other food out and didn’t come back to our table for 5 minutes, so I asked another server about the sauce.
