Basic restaurant with fantastic quality food. The dosa was better than any that I've had for ages!

We've had mutton Biryani from there. The taste was awesome and at this price point the food is affordable. We have tried their Masala Dosa too. Tasted best!! Try having their Masala Dosa, will love it! Speisekarte ansehen

I ordered two sets of Idllis(10 pcs) and stringhoppers. The idllies like rocks. I kept it for my husband to eat who came after work. So so so disappointed. They are old like it was in a freezer for a month. I wont order from them again.

I ordered masala dosa and couple more items the delivery person forgot to bring the dosa. The restaurant says they will give refuel in the next order which is very unfair as what about today. I had to order from another place. This has happened many times before. Highly recommend improvement in service

They have really done the place and renovated it. We tried the breakfast menu in the morning, and we just stuffed ourselves with lovely authentic food. Tried the Dosa, Idlys , Pooris, Semolina pudding and everything was really tasty. The filter coffee in the end was really a cherry on the cake. The staff are very humble and hospitable. Food, Service and Ambience Just brilliant. Just like the name authentic taste of Ceylon. The host was very loving and welcoming, food was hot and freshly prepared with amazing spices. Easily resonating To the Taste that we forgot at home. Biriyani with egg reminds of South Indian biryani which not many places in Ashford serve! The best so far is Kothu ! Chicken Kothu is delicious, disparate and sumptuous. I will come back again for sure

Do not order delivery from their website. Food is great but they don't have capacity to deliver at a reasonable time. I paid nearly 40 quid of food to wait for an hour and a half and I live just down the road from them.(5 min. walk) I ordered at 7:45 finally got food after repeatedly calling at 9:30! If you order for pick up make sure you check it all before leaving. The last 2 times I ordered they got my order wrong. I won't ever be ordering from them again.

Taste of Ceylon has been a wonderful find for us. All our regular takeaways had already closed for the night so we took a chance on this place one Friday and we're so happy we did. The Kili biryani is different to anything we've tried before, it's beautifully presented wrapped in banana leaf and the crispy mutton bites are delicious. Separately we bought the Friday Thali, which was a feast and seemed to comprise of lucky bag mix of, I'm guessing, whatever they had lots of to spare. The only did side was that this part of the order arrived completely cold and it difficult to work out what was intentionally cold and what needed heating up normally we'd deduct a star for this service but we enj...
