Teashop By The Canal

Second visit and it was just as good as the first. The savory cream tea was delicious. Plenty of seating and cost even on a cold, wet day.

Visited on a quiet afternoon and both had eggs Benedict with Salmon. Got to say it was absolutely perfect. In addition the flat white was flavourful without being overly strong or thick. Blown away to actually come out and not feel seen off.

Went here for lovely afternoon tea as I had received a voucher as a gift. Lovely teashop run by lovely ladies. Plentiful afternoon tea very very fresh sandwiches and tasty cakes and scones, so much that we had to bring a box of stuff home. Would thoroughly recommend. Speisekarte ansehen

We had a truly wonderful lunch at this tearoom. It was not very crowded and the service was excellent. We had seating right by the canal, which was a beautiful touch. The food was incredibly fresh and traditional. This spot is a must-visit for both tourists and locals.

We were recommended to this absolute gem by my friend’s sister as a treat for my friend’s birthday, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. It sits right on the backs of the canal, on the edge of the public library car park in Newbury, with outdoor seating and lots of swans

The restaurant is conveniently located near plenty of parking options and offers outdoor seating by the canal for a pleasant dining experience in warmer weather. Beautiful location but pricey. It has been a while since I last visited this charming restaurant by the canal. I frequent cafes in Newbury often, but this one is notably expensive. Charging £5 for a slice of cake and £17 for 2 slices of cake, a tea, and a latte. It is a lovely spot for tourists, but as a local, I prefer to support one of the many other independent cafes in the area.

After a relaxing walk along the canal path, the Teashop is perfectly placed with plenty of outdoor seating and a great range of cakes, brunch dishes, teas and coffees. We enjoyed a coffee and cake watching the comings and goings on the canal. We were impressed by the excellent service, fast but also very friendly. We are not local, but would definitely revisit if we were in Newbury again.

Gorgeous Birthday Afternoon Tea! What a fabulous treat, everything homemade so delicious especially the scones sandwiches! Such a pretty tea shop beautifully decorated. Our table was gorgeous with pretty teacups saucers all laid out ready to use. Staff very welcoming smily. We visited the Ritz in London 2 weeks ago told the staff this was so much more enjoyable!
