"What a shame. The Sunday Roast used to be so good here. I last came to the Albion in the beginning of 2018. I left thinking that the roast was one of the best in North London. Unfortunately this wasn’t the same experience this time. I had the lamb roast; the portion of lamb wasn’t great; it came with an almost endless amount of red cabbage, what I assume was parsnip mash, a Yorkshire pudding (which was great), roast potatoes which tasted like they were cooked from frozen and some carrots. I asked for mint sauce and extra gravy which was given at no extra cost. There was twice as much vegetables on the plate than the meat and the majority of them were very average. My friends plate was similar they had the corn fed poussin which was slightly pink near to the bone. In all the meal came to a reasonable £58. The service was pretty good. The venue still looks great. Such a shame that the food isn’t what it once was."

Decent food and the backyard patio is really fantastic for such a central location in London. It's massive and very cute with a few plants and fairy

Used to have quite good food but is now hit or miss. The burger was overcooked and quite dry, and as a starter their “marinated salmon” should have been labelled baked or pan seared, since that’s what it was. Was expecting it to be cold. The ambience in the back garden is great but for food, sadly the standards have slipped.

really terrible. I ignored the last reviews and wished I hadn't - I visited the pub for >30 years and thought I knew it better. seated outside the open table said that they do not book tables outside on a cold november day, the half of the heaters do not work “gas coming next week” . after ordering a half hour waiting for eating. dear apologetic manager but service woeful otherwise. eating was nice enough when it finally arrived, but not compensating dreadful total experience. other guests who ask for tasty boiling water to warm their icey hands!
