The Anchor Bleu - Speisekarte

I just want to give a huge thank you to Jonah and the staff at Anchor Bleu for making our visit so enjoyable and for serving the most incredible fish and chips.

Really great food. Staff are friendly. Lovely pub. Well worth a visit. Only downside is if you sit upstairs you're a bit out of sight out of mind we hardly saw any staff (it was busy), so ran out of time to order dessert which was a shame.

We really like this pub and have been to lunch on the terrace, overlooking the estaury, on several occasions. Despite being very busy (it's rightly very popular) the staff are polite, professional and friendly. The food is very good and we always find something tasty on the menu for veggie/vegans.

relatiw limited selection of seafood, but enough for our party of 15 with our choices to be happy. not a challenging seafood spot, as you could get with rick stone, but beautifully cooked and presented. I have to go back when the wind dies down and the spring is here. pleasant friendly staff to serve us.

beautiful building, great location, excellent beer, smashed gin tonics, friendly service. Unfortunately, they had booked the outside terrace table we wanted and we lost. but we got an apology and a round drinks on the house. the food was really excellent. fish and chips and steak and stylton pie very recommended.

We had another great meal in anchor bleu. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. The food is plentiful and staff came to the table and took our order, even the drinks. I asked if I could have chips about 10 minutes after we ordered the meal and it wasn't an issue, it didn't even fasse them. So all in all a great experience and well worth a visit.

wow wow, what a nice pub with perfect dug and service. my new favorite pub to go in the local environment. varied menu changes regularly. freshly cooked food, which is tasty and is served by the most efficient and pleasant staff. beautiful small sun-trap of a back terrace with views of the kai, which makes for the perfect lunch or dinner. highly recommended. oh and they are dog-friendly, which is a bonus!

We visited Anchor Bleu twice. On Monday night, they had a main course meal for £10, and we chose Pop-corn Prawns, Chips, and Salad, which was delicious. We struck up a conversation with the couple at the next table and decided to team up with them for the Pub Quiz the following evening. The cost was £7.50, which included a bowl of chicken chowder and entry to the quiz. It was a fantastic evening with fun questions and a great atmosphere. We even came in third place! The staff were hardworking, helpful, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Thank you to the staff for a great experience!

Another issue was that our original server forgot to put through the 2-year-old's meal, causing tears and tantrums while the adults had their meals. The new server quickly rectified the mistake and removed the item from the bill without hesitation. Additionally, all the bowls of chips had to be sent back because they were cold, and the carrots in the vegetable bowl were not just cold, but fridge cold. Despite these issues, we didn't mention the cold carrots as the new server had already apologized extensively for the previous mistakes. Overall, it was not a great experience at Anchor Bleu.
