"The Sunday roast beef which my husband asked for, and told the waiter he would like it very rare even raw rather than overlooked, when it arrived it was dry and curled up at the edges as if it had been kept warm for hours. The plate was quickly removed and another replaced it the meat was not pink but just not rare in any way. If it is not possible to cook the joint in a way to have it rare it should be written on the menu, so that you can make an alternate choice. The mushroom starter was very small. The lobster pot very nicely presented but not a lot of lobster flavour. The fried Brie excelent? We didn't eat until 2.30pm perhaps it's better to eat earlier."

When we arrived at The Arkle Manor they didn't have any booking referance on there books for us, they managed to fit us in .

We have dined at The Arkle Manor, quite often and we are well known to the manager and waiters/ waitresses. We have always had a good experience.

Not as good as it used to be (we had not been for a while). Waiter was not very welcoming, and when my wife mentioned her dessert was not very nice he could not show any less interest. Would think twice about going back. Nice place, but the experience was very disappointing.

Another Mitchell and Butler outlet but a really nice meal. I've eaten in quite a few M&B places and whilst the menu and formula are all very similar there is without doubt a difference in how each is run. The Sunday lunch was one of the nicest I've had in a long time.The meat was a decent thick slice unlike so many where the meat is a couple of shaved slices.The veg is well prepared and the sauces plentiful.Starters and deserts were very nice and a good variety.
