"Food was really good and tasty. Waitresses wasn’t sure what I meant by gluten free but I asked her to check and she did. Front of house staff let the chefs down. Service wasn’t great, maybe just understaffed for the day. We had to ask for pudding menu, and three kids desserts wasn’t brought out so had to ask for them. No spoons were given to eat puddings so again had to ask for them. I asked if we had to order at the bar but it was table service. Could have done with maybe another 2 checks throughout our meal. One being during main course and would you like any more drinks, as would have definitely had another round. Slow service that let the food down. I would go again though, as maybe it was a one off on that day?"

A really charming character pub with the most delightful barmaid/waitress. We weren’t rushed or hurried so we’re able to relax and enjoy our evening.

I drove on the way to eastbourne, so this will stop a comfortable lunchtime. very large bar and restaurant, harveys and long man beer on today. I would.

beautiful meal with generous portions. as a party of 9 it was great to get all our meals at once. we will definitely return because the service was excellent and I would like to try something else on the menu.

overall we enjoyed our Sunday dinner and the portion sizes were good. the extra veg of the cauliflower cheese was a bad part for £3,50! I would encourage them not to drown in the heavy that should be served on the side

it was not particularly busy, but must be after the drinks menu and then after a delay of about 15 minutes. Eating was slowly arriving about 30 minutes after the starter was ordered and the main similar overall from the arrival to leave we were in the restaurant for almost 2 hours. the staff are friendly and helpful, we would be possible again, because perhaps the delay was a switched off.
