"From the moment we entered The Bell, everything felt just right. The bar was lively, offering a great selection of ales. It was also dog-friendly, complete with a lovely personalized letter for our dog that included poop bags, toys, and treats. The staff were all delightful, and the location in the heart of the village couldn't be better. While the evening menu was somewhat limited, the food was outstanding, and breakfast was equally impressive. The quirky atmosphere added to the charm, as the dining room ceiling is supposedly supported by a column of books, and our room featured a tree and a barber's chair! Overall, it was a fantastic discovery, and it’s easy to see why it has received several awards!"

Genuinely the best country side stay I’ve had in England. The place is incredible, so rustic and authentic, cosy and beautiful. We stayed 2 nights but it’s one of the rare hotels where I WANT to go back! The lodges are fantastic, and the staff is great (like really great). We had an amazing time and I will be back. Thanks a lot Speisekarte ansehen

I stopped by for Sunday lunch after a local walk, and it was my first visit to this restaurant. I can honestly say there wasn’t a single disappointing aspect. The staff was fantastic—friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere truly captures the charm of traditional English pubs, and the food was exceptional. I had the roast pork, and it was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to return and try more dishes. Thank you very much! Food and drinks: Outstanding quality. Overall rating: 5 stars. We attended a wedding and reception at the Bell, an old pub with a quirky makeover. The car park was small but a small public carpark was over the road. The food at the reception was faultless starting with interesting canape, a large selection of well prepared starters. Main course of Toast beef husband siad was tasty and succulent), salmon, lots of veg and choice of potatoes. , can't remember what the vegetarian or vegan choice was) desert was voice of apple crumble, pineapple bread pudding, chocolate brownie. We were too up to have a piece of wedding cake.,

This is a lovely and inviting pub with a warm atmosphere. However, the menu is unappealing and the food left much to be desired. The drink options also didn't catch my interest. It's unclear who the target audience is for the menu, which features very basic offerings. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing; the burger was overly sweet with an odd hint of sugar, and the vegetables were limited to just caramelized options. The fish had a soggy batter that didn’t impress. I urge the management to reconsider the menu. As for the rooms, service, and location, I would rate them all a solid 5.

"I am a local resident in the area and had never noticed this café before. While I was waiting for my medication at the neighboring pharmacy, I decided to grab a drink and a pastry. I ordered a fizzy Elderflower drink and a pastry, which surprisingly costed just under £10! Despite the high price, I paid for it and went to the back of the café, which seemed to be a back room. Unfortunately, the café's decor was not appealing at all. They went for a mismatched look, but it was clear that they had not invested much in the decor, making it unappealing. Additionally, there was a strong smell of old greasy food in the air. I sat down at a table, sipped my drink, which was okay, and started on the pastry. It was disappointing and definitely not worth the price. It seemed like they bought the pastry cheaply and charged a high markup. The menu prices were also shockingly high. I compared it to a farm shop called Eggs to Apples a few miles away, which has higher prices but offers good food, excellent service, and well-decorated dining area. The Greedy Goat café charging similar prices didn't make sense to me. I left the café feeling ripped off and carrying the remainder of my Elderflower drink, leaving the pastry behind. I am disappointed with the quality of the food and feel like I could have cooked better at home. I strongly recommend avoiding this place as it just seems like a typical greasy spoon."
