Don't know about rooms but the food is really good, the staff are very good and friendly and the pub, both inside and in the new garden, is a lovely place to eat. Service: 5 Location: 5

Can’t comment on the rooms as we only came for food. We were staying at keldy forest lodges and drove past this place earlier on in the day and decided to book a table for the evening. The food was outstanding! The place itself is very warm and welcoming and all the staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anybody. Food drinks: Food was outstanding. Lovely pub set in a small moorland village, definitely should be on your visit list! A very well organized restaurant that can get very busy, so it's essential you book. Sunday lunch was very good! Wonderful atmosphere and there are rooms available if you'd like to stay over! To top it off there's an excellent circular walk across the fields to Hutton le Hole and it's chocolate shop! Bliss. After having a wonderful lunch the week before we decided to return for Sunday lunch.However unfortunately we did not have the same experience.The service was poor leaving us for several minutes with no cutlery and food going cold,having to distract staff to order a drink,no roast potatoes left so we given a small bowl of mashed potatoes but had to wait again,we probably won't be racing back for Sunday roast sadly. We were staying in Hutton Le hole for a few days and 7 of us Went for a family meal. Sat in garden as had a little dog with us but didn’t mind cos was a lovely evening and garden was busy with other customers so lovely atmosphere. The food was absolutely fabulous and value for money. Wish we had found this place sooner and not our last night. This is definitely the best pub around and well worth a trip out Food drinks: I had the seafood salad which was lovely and fresh. Others had lamb pie which said was lovely and tender. Steak and ale pie and fish pie and every plate was empty by the end.
