"Party of three adults and one child, we ordered three mixed grills requesting no tomatoes on any as I gave an allergy to them, we also ordered a children meal of beefburger for my granddaughter.The meals duly came out all with tomatoes on, I explained that I could not accept it due to my allergy and the server although a little shocked took back the meals explaining they would remake them. This is when the girl who took our order came with my granddaughters meal almost throwing it down on the table in front of her, making no effort to bring any cutlery for her to eat with and proceeded to berate us for not advising of allergies.She then spent 5 minutes ranting that we should have told her, my thinking us asking for no tomatoes on any of our meals would be enough for her to make an informed decision that this meant NO TOMATOES were required on our meals.I requested to speak to a manager, who came and appeased the situation some what but this did not make up for how insulted we felt over the way we were spoken to. Needless to say we will not be returning any time soon.We noticed several people complain to staff about the time they were waiting for food and this place was quiet to say the least, I would hate to think what sort of wait people have if it were busier.The food was passable each of us asked for our steak cooked differently, medium, medium well and well done. You could not tell any difference between them.Others opinion may differ from mine but I can only go off the visit me made at the time we were there."

Really enjoyed our meal on Saturday night. The food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were friendly and polite and the service was quick and efficient. Great space for children too. Warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!

We booked the Bowling Green for my dads 80th birthday celebration and from start to finish the service was first class. We had various dietary requirements all of which were catered for. All our meals arrived hot and fresh in a timely manner. Highly recommend a visit to this lovely venue. Thank you for making my dads birthday special.

Booked for the Carvery at 6pm,only to be told when we got there that there was no Carvery.This was booked the day before as a treat for our Son for doing well in his exams.The lady did apologise but we were disappointed as we were really looking forward to it had already enquired booked for this.How can you book for a Carvery at 6pm,for it not to be on? The food we ordered was nice,apart from my husbands pie which was burnt!Think the Carvery the serving of burnt food needs to be addressed.

We used to enjoy the carvery at this restaurant. However, during our visit today, we noticed that the staff were talking about a customer in a disrespectful manner. The customer service was lacking, and the food quality had also deteriorated. There were very limited options available to accompany the carvery, and it seemed like a burden for the chefs when customers requested additional items such as cauliflower. Overall, it is disappointing to see the decline in standards at this establishment.

We have visited this restaurant many times (pre Covid) when we visit our Aunt in Chorley, and we have always loved this place. I usually enjoy the carvery and was looking forward to it, but unfortunately it is now only available on Sundays. We ended up ordering from the main menu and everything was pleasant, with nothing wrong about the food. However, for me, it lacked excitement. I don't mean to be picky, maybe I was just let down by not being able to have my favorite roast dinner. The staff were friendly and the place was clean, so there were definitely some positives.

We used to love going here due to the play room for the kids and although this is back open, the food quality has taken a dive.Yet again the childrens mash came out cold in the middle and hot on the outside. Quite clearly microwaved. I gave the same feedback last month when we visited and have the benefit of the doubt but clearly no one listened. Took 40 minutes for our mains to come out despite the place being empty and my fillet steak wrap was cold and definitely not fillet steak. More fat than meat. I gave feedback whilst there but definitely won't be returning which is a shame

I made a reservation for 7.30pm at this restaurant and was served drinks by a staff member who seemed unmotivated. When we went to order food, we were told that our first choice had sold out. After reselecting our dishes, we were informed that there would be a wait of up to half an hour, even though the restaurant seemed relatively empty. Our food eventually arrived - I had the house salad and salmon, while my partner had the halloumi and veg kebab. The food itself was good, but the plates looked dirty with water marks and the cutlery was not in great condition.
