"Fabulous food as always, with plenty gluten free options (so nice to have a choice! ; service is excellent attentive, but not suffocating, staff take time to ensure everything is to your liking whilst providing great service with humour. I had baked camembert to start a small, tasty starter, with creamy camembert, then cod, with asparagus delicious, and the potatoes were to die for. I had the gluten free chocolate torte with raspberry coulis heavenly! This is a great place for everyday and for special occasions."

Our party of 4 had a fantastic meal on Saturday night. The food was all excellent especially the Cod. Service was excellent as well. We will return soon and will certainly recommend to friends and family......

Fabulous meal, great service. Definitely deserves 5stars. Have waited so long to go here and was not disappointed with food or service and have already booked up to go again. Booking up in advance is recommended as this place has been hard to get into.

We ate here with relatives who live at least 25 miles away. They were all very impressed with the menu in respect of choice, food, value for money and service. One of our party has coeliac disease and so needs gluten free food. He had just as much choice as the rest of us. Speisekarte ansehen

We met when a family came together, we all had very nice meals and all commented on the great food. The staff was very friendly and made the experience even better. It was nice to see that they even sang Happy Birthday for me and put candles on a cake!! Will definitely be back.

My partner and I had been away for the weekend and wanted to stop off at a nice locals pub for food on our way home. We looked on the around me app and chose The Chequers. It was great because you could book a table online. We were blown away with the food, absolutely gorgeous. Although it is 2 hours from where we live we would definitely consider a drive out there for a special occasion because the food was that good and staff are very friendly.
