"I took my mother here for her birthday for afternoon tea. The waitress and the waiter were absolutely lovely. The afternoon tea was really nice apart from the coffee not being very hot. It all went down hill when the bar maid accused me of lying!! I have never experienced such poor attitude and behaviour towards a customer. She continued to raise her voice arguing with me, whilst trying to provoke me, until another customer approached and then she tried to back track on her actions. She had absolutely no customer service or communication skills, and no knowledge of how to resolve problems effectively. Such a disappointment, as she completely ruined the first impression and experience we had up until that point. No customer should have to endure that behaviour and feel they need to justify themselves. Really poor."

"Had a lovely lunch here in Nov 2023. The food was great and there was a good variety on the menu. We had a two course meal with a drink for about £25 per person. The beer battered fish and chips were devine. Dogs are allowed in the bar area but not the restaurant area. Vegetarian options: There were multiple vegetarian options, including a lovely goats cheese pie Parking: The pubs car park has a good number of spaces and there is some street parking for 3 or 4 cars directly outside. Wheelchair accessibility: The pub is on a slope. The carpark surface is hard but a little uneven, should be OK for wheelchair access. The front of the pub has a decked area for outside sitting and this includes a ramp to the entrance. Inside the pub there are no internal doors in the restaurant area and there's room to manoeuvre a wheelchair. Toilet access is OK but not you do need to go through a door to access it."

"Well what can I say went to The Kings Arms Haughley which is under new management for the first time for,Sunday lunch the food was excellent not joking. We started with the classic prawn cocktail let's just say they don't scrimp on the prawns it was wonderful followed by roast lamb which was cooked to perfection with all the trimmings,ending with cherry and rhubarb franzipan the Landlord and Landlady Paul and Debbie deserve all the success that is sure to come their way . Thank you"

"I saw on Google for Sunday roasts near me, the Magpie Combs Ford came up, we went in pub got a nice greeting from owner/staff and some locals, nice selection of beers, ales, apple wine on tap, frying come in small, medium and large, a local jokes have the big, then you don't have to eat til Tuesday. We have made ourselves for medium-sized, generous amount of meat with the choice of beef, pork meat, gammon between us all had 3, they were delicious and tender, then you have roasted pipes, roasted potatoes, filling, then you have about 10 vegs to choose from, the cauliflower/Brokoli cheese the sauce was so good, all the vegs cooked only perfect, then socen The Desserts list is also great, we had Belgium waffle and Marmelade Poly view photos, the Custard was so creamy. We have booked in advance, would definitely recommend this. Thank you to the Magpie, my only regret is that I am not a local because this is definitely my local pub if I did. Will be worth the trip."

"Been meaning to review for a while as the meal my partner and I had here has been etched into my mind for all the wrong reasons. I had a veggie lasagne and (I am no fussy eater) it was very challenging to eat indeed....Veg slop, very bland and veg tasted frozen. Partner had gammon and chips, gammon was fried like bacon and so tough it genuinely made his jaw ache. Dog seemed happy with it though. Staff nice enough."
