Superb food at great value. Friendly and attentive service also. Well spaced tables for COVID-19 rules and hand sanitation plus temperature check on entrance reassuring. Toilets facilities could do with an upgrade however.

Having tried a few different Chinese restaurants for take aways, I tried China Palace and was really impressed. Great food and reasonable price. Best I've tasted in Edinburgh to date. Nice touch was choice of free dish with the meal (spring rolls or BBQ ribs). Will def. be using them again. Recommended. Speisekarte ansehen

I 've eaten here several times over the years, and was never impressed. We ended up there again after a 4 year gap, and the food was a poor as I 'd remembered. Service was OK, the mens toilets had red buckets under the urinals. My friend summed it up as I suppose it might be OK if you were pissed , but I doubt it.

What a lovely place, food is very good as well as the decor . Toilets are not so good. Kind of gets lost in translation when you order but if you go with the 'Faulty Towers ' approach and don 't expect a 5 star experience then you will definately enjoy. Would recommend. We visited this place while we were on a short trip to Edinburgh. We were pleasantly surprised by the food quality and overwhelmed by the exceptional service. We went for the banquet menu and received a bottle of wine with it. Both the wine and the courses were great and the waiter was really friendly. I don't write reviews very often but this place was exceptional and definitely deserves more recognition. Will definitely eat here again!

I was a couple of times in china palace for the lunch deal and thought that eating was ok, but recently tried the a la carte menu in the night and its fantastic. there is a great choice, the seafood is above all very good quality and the prices are very reasonable. the wine list is also very good. I also ordered a takeaway that was almost as good as a sitting and had many offers like free dine / beer when ordering over a certain amount. the personal was always very nice and the service is efficient! a great sound!

this is the best chinese in edinburgh. that is not saying tons, cause it just aint that good here. you want indian, you got the best, chinese is just ehhh. there is one thing they have here which i havent seen in other countries and pretty much the only reason to come here. crispy seaweed. its genius. ive been told its really just fried cabbage, but i dont really believe that. it doesnt matter what it is, it is crispy, flaked perfection with a funky herb thingy on it and peanuts. nothing else is spectacular but get the noodles instead of the rice, not bad. the crispy shredded beef is probably the best and also part of the various set meals you can get if you are dining with others. sit in an...
