"Called in by chance in the hope that there would be a table free prior to going to the cinema, and the gentleman was very accommodating. What a brilliant little find, I didn't even know about this little restaurant, it was my partner who found it. The food was delicious, freshly cooked. Portions were very sizeable, in fact I felt rather full such that I had to skip a desert. We will have to come again and will likely book next time. Thank you for a very enjoyable meal."

"As a child, my family used to travel up and down the length of England using North Western Coaches, stopping at various cities and cafeterias en route. I have the fondest memories of good cafes, good food, good service, and a sense of fulfilment, having visited the usual venues. Manchester Road Cafe is a very smart, clean, and healthy reminder of that kind of nostalgia, and when you go inside, there are plenty of tables and chairs that are comfortable, well laid out, clean and welcoming. When you look at the menu you are given a good selection of choices starting with two types of full English breakfast with either one or two items of each of the main ingredients, together with a range of meal variations/combinations, together with other meals normally associated with later in the day, all at excellent prices. There is a good number of staff members, both in the kitchen and serving/waiting on, which ensures quick, efficient, and very professional service, which minimizes the wait to receive the good quality produce. Everything is freshly made, there are good size portions, and there is flexibility, particularly in the breakfast at the time l was there. If you don't like a particular item, you can swap it for an extra one of the others that you have on your plate. For example, I don't like black puddings, so I had an extra fried egg in its place at no extra charge. Well done, Manchester Road Cafe. I also like a good mug of tea, and that's certainly what you get with your meal, together with 2 rounds of white or brown bread, toasted. There were beans, tomatoes, eggs, bacon, and sausages, which were gorgeous to enhance the eating experience. Full marks, great service, and seems to be doing exceptionally well growing in popularity. A distant family member of mine had a transport cafe for over 50 years, with his brothers and his father, and business is always good throughout the morning and the opening time here of 8 am and finishing time around 2 p.m is perfect both for the establishment and for the times that we are ready to eat. I'm sure you'll enjoy all that you have and have no hesitation in recommending it to you."

"Quirky with a vintage twist. I love this little café. It's so inviting and you can smell the beautiful food as you approach. The new location is definitely better for size. There's seating inside and out which makes a change for this area. I love the shear selection of tea and I'm slowly trying to work my way through them all. So far my favourite is the fairy wings tea. They also have a great milkshake selection. The bacon butties are amazing. Plus the homemade cakes and scones are a must try."

"Came here on Saturday to watch the rugby what a day, looked after from the start the atmosphere was amazing all screens showing the rugby for the town yet people moaning England football couldn’t be shown due to the sheer volume of people wanting the rugby which is massive for the town, it was one day us leigh fans wanted. other pubs trying their best to damage a business for no reason all because a pub is doing well, this pub is doing amazing and allows children in which is amazing so they can be involved in the towns success some people need to grow up."

"Surprise waiting inside as exterior unique with a small car park, once entering greeted by a very pleasant waitress really friendly and professional, two others waiting on, and serving drinks extremely attentive, excellent food and very child friendly good menu not excessive but just right, Nice wines and selection of spirits not a large selection of beers but decent quality food was very nicely presented and again good quality and cooked perfect we all had a variety of dishes not kept waiting at all very attentive staff excellent place to dine out usual prices which is fine when there's a decent chef and good quality food Vegetarian options: Good quality vegan meals, alsi asked us about food allergies which is good to see Dietary restrictions: As I've mentioned staff make sure dietary requirements are met more than adequate Kid-friendliness: Nine year old girl loved the menu and food ate more than me Wheelchair accessibility: Out the car into the door can't say much better than that"
