Very nice place, good food too, slightly remote though from city centre.

the personal is terrible. food cut and extremely salty! put a little smelly stalk smell!

What a fantastic meal we had It was delicious and well presented and piping hot. The service was first class and the place was really nice. Simply the best. Would highly recommend.

Popped in without booking and no problem getting a table Good, reasonably priced menu. Food was freshly made and piping hot Decor in conservatory needs updating Pleasant waiting staff

Thanks so much to the Cockatoo Staff for making my Husband's birthday such a success. Food was enjoyed by all. The service was Superb and the prices very reasonable. Even our grandchildren, aged and had a great time. Thank you again...and will see you all again soon. Speisekarte ansehen

Have visited here a few times and still feel service could be better.Lots of free parking outside.Bar area has tv and plenry seating.Resturant has a conservatory as well. Staff are friendly but need to be more proffesional. Menu is varied and you can get half...portions.Prices are average. Could do with a smarten up and think this would bring in more customers.

Spur of the moment thing on a Saturday night?? Didn't think we would get a table but yes no problem . We arrived early and our table was waiting for us, they gave us plenty of time to checkout the menu .starters came out in...no time at all they were fab. I ordered the small portion for main, glad I did as I was stuffed couldn't finish it, didn't even have room for my pudding, and that's not like me. Prices were fair. So all in all a very enjoyable meal with good fast service at a good price. Will defo be back.

I cannot recommend the cockatoo highly enough. The best steak I've ever tasted, my partners macaroni cheese was homemade and beautiful. I had posh mushroom on toast as a starter, my partner loved the smell of it so much he kept pinching mine. I am...not a fan of soups but my partners homemade tomato smelt gorgeous and he really enjoyed it. My dad took my mum on there first date here years ago and said it was the best food he'd after had to date. Warm friendly atmosphere and although the prices are pretentious(but worth it) the service wasn't, loved the banter with our waitress and the chef checked on us once too and he was lovely.
