"Our first visit today. I am a meat eater (reducing my intake of meat though) and the Mrs is a vegan and it is so difficult to find somewhere that serves a balance of food suitable for her and that will keep me interested too. There are so few places around East Lancashire/above Manchester so we were delighted to get a recommendation for Earthlings from our vegan friend. Simple elegant decor and a spotlessly clean premises, an interesting menu and specials board and very friendly staff. So...the food I went for the breakfast burrito, a beautiful purple coloured wrap with mushrooms, ‘Sosage’ pattie and whole earth baked beans, salad leaves and tomatoes on the side. I would have licked the plate clean had social etiquette allowed. The Mrs went for the Pumpkin seed, quinoa and Chia burger with slaw salsa and a few sweet potato cubes on the side from the specials board. I didn’t try hers, but she made approving noises and faces whilst she ate and said after how nice it was. Dessert was choc orange cheesecake with a scoop of vanilla Booja Booja ‘ice cream’ for me and Lavender and Lemon cheesecake with a scoop of berry sorbet for the Mrs. A cappuccino and an Americano brought the bill to around £33 money well spent and we will definitely be going back!"

"I recently had the best sushi at this restaurant! We visited this afternoon and the sushi was so exceptional that I couldn't wait to leave a five-star review! We ordered a mixed nigiri platter and a spider maki roll. The sushi rice was absolutely fantastic! It was unlike any sushi I’ve had before—no hard, dry textures or long travel taste. The combination of flavors in all the sushi was simply amazing. It was fresh, delicious, and offered great value for money! Unlike some other places, it wasn't overloaded with ingredients. We’re definitely interested in trying their teppanyaki dishes, but we knew we’d be too full to manage it today! I really wish this restaurant were right next to our apartment, as we only came for an event nearby. If I lived closer, I would visit all the time! We did wait for over 30 minutes to get our sushi, but it was absolutely worth it. It's clear this place is very popular for takeout and dining in. "A special Event in a special Restaurant. My Wife and I visited the Holiday Inn near Bolton town centre for a special birthday treat in early June 2016. We had pre booked a table in the superb Hardies Restaurant and on arrival we were quickly shown to our table by the very efficient young lady who looked after us all evening She was very attentive without being obtrusive, Starters were chosen, ordered, and delivered within about 15 minutes. Kathleen’s Pate was a rather generous portion and she declared that it was at least as good as any she had tasted before. My choice was deep fried Goats cheese, this was very authentic and enjoyable. For Mains we finally settled on A Lamb shank for Kath which she said was Amazing, whilst I settled for the superb Cod in batter with chips and peas, a simple traditional dish but beautiful and rather large portion. Desserts took us quite a few minutes to decide on. Kath chose Hot apple pudding with a vanilla sauce. I decided on a fresh fruit salad with ice cream served on a large platter I counted nine different fruits all seasonal and extremely fresh. We both tasted each other’s desserts the apple pudding was also very nice. The waitress offered us cheese and biscuits but quite honestly by this time we were to put it bluntly, stuffed. The verdict was a truly excellent meal, time to retreat to the adjoining bar for a pleasant hours relaxation. To conclude we made the right choice to have our special event at Hardies and we will definitely visit again. Thanks to all concerned."

"I absolutely adored this charming coffee shop! I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of vegan options available, alongside the traditional offerings. It was a breath of fresh air to have so many choices, especially in Bolton! I indulged in the vegan cheese and tomato toastie, along with a cup of celery soup, which were both incredibly delicious and satisfying. To accompany my meal, I enjoyed an oat milk latte topped with vegan chocolate. The ambiance of the coffee shop was delightful, and the staff were all very friendly, even going out of their way to assist my elderly Aunt Babs by holding the door open for her. Before leaving, I grabbed a slice of vegan carrot cake to take home, which was also scrumptious. I was so impressed that I have already made a reservation for my mum and sister to join me on Friday. Thank you to the wonderful staff for a fantastic experience. Although I believe this place deserves a 5-star rating, I am unable to provide one as it is not completely vegan."

"So I Visited the olympus restaurant in Bolton for the first time and will be my last sat there having my meal, and I was discusted with the way the manager treat certain staff, he was on front of house and all I could here every 2 minutes to a young lad called Ryan, Ryan clear the table, Ryan put these two tables together no you done it wrong, Ryan show these to their table, Ryan get knives and forks and it went on constantly for half an hour, there were plenty of other staff doing nothing. But this poor lad was run of his feet, no staff member should be treated like a slave these days especially when there plenty of other staff there chatting. The restaurant was fall and nobody blinked a eye lid apart from me about it. I wanted to say something but chose not cause a scene as I could see how he was treating Ryan that he is a Aragant person and trying to talk to him would only cause confrontation and seem the sort who cry wolf to the police. So I've decided to report him to the The Retail Ombudsman on how he treats his staff"
