"I can't start explaining how amazing this place is! from the minute we went, owners william was like a soothing influence that wanted us to stay forever. besides its amazing service and love for detail was eating exemplary....after eating in many allegedly famous Thai restaurants in various countries this place has thrown them all away. they are worth a 4 hours drive and must be on their bucket list. "I never knew I could visit a tea room like this. There is a wide variety of teas, along with other beverages, scones, and cakes that are absolutely delicious. The friendly and cheerful staff made the experience even better. I highly recommend visiting this tea room to experience it for yourself. It's truly amazing!"

"The welcome in to the restaurant was warm and our table was in a cosy corner but not cramped. We ordered drinks and the didn't rush us in to ordering. I had the seafood starter, crevettes, mussels, clams etc.. and there was plenty of them. My wife, who is picky with salads ordered prawn salad and commented on how fresh it was. Both dishes were very nice and very tasty. I had the swordfish in a hot sauce and my wife had salmon. Once again we both commented on how nice the food was. The bill was reasonable and certainly justified the good evening that we had. The service was pleasant and we were made to feel as if our custom was appreciated."

"My wife and I were hungry at the Northumberland coast, known for its famous fish and crab sandwiches but lacking in vegan options. We decided to stop in Alnwick and came across The Black Faggot, an old pub with an interesting building that seemed to be popular with the locals. It was around 5pm, and we were lucky to find a table since the place was fully booked later due to reduced capacity during COVID-19. We were pleasantly surprised to find more than one vegan option on the menu. I started with the deep-fried vegan cheese, which was delicious and just the right portion size. Both my wife and I chose the courgetti bolognese (spaghetti bolognese with courgette noodles) for our main course. Both dishes arrived quickly and the service was efficient. The pub had implemented COVID security measures with perspex screens between tables."

"We ordered two vegan appetizers at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the croquettes were still frozen and the jackfruit nachos were very odd - just tinted pieces of jackfruit, gherkins, and salad scattered over tortilla chips with a sweet chili sauce. We sent the croquettes back, and the staff was very apologetic and asked the kitchen to make another batch without blaming us. The second serving of croquettes was hot, but lacked flavor. For our main dish, my partner ordered the cauliflower steak with miso and lemon glaze, but it was too salty to eat. The cauliflower was coated in pure miso, making it inedible. The staff apologized and took it back to the kitchen to try again with a different brand of miso. We believe the kitchen should taste the food before sending it out. The other dishes were okay, but not particularly great."
