"After doing the Velocity Zip wire, we checked into Olif... what a beautifully decorated hotel, in a great location and very friendly staff. Free parking on the road near the hotel was easy too. Room 1 was just like the photos Aubrey emailed to suggest reserving a table in the restaurant for our evening meal (if we were planning to eat there) as the tables can fill up quickly and he wasn't wrong! Great atmosphere for dinner and the tapas was amazing, along with the local ciders cocktails Breakfast was perfect and very filling! Would definitely recommend staying here"

"I have 2 thoughts about this place. it was already somewhere where there were parts that were great parts that were not good, that was it for me. waits for a very lethargic waiter to show us on our table. decided to press the button on the table when I wanted to replace normal chips for sweet potatoes. the waitress arrived pretty fast all sorted in seconds. I had a delicious piri piri half roasted huh and my dear had loved the half ripp. she wasn't as impressed as I was. the ordering of the dessert different boilers of fish pressed the call button 3 times to no incident finally ordered on my phone, after which the waitress came me about 10 15 minutes of the latter and the meal took forever to come. it's another attempt, only if it was a fuke."

"As locals we like to visit betws on quiet days to enjoy what is on our doorstep, it was our first time in the alpine cafe though and we were tempted in with the chalk board starting trip advisor ‘worst afternoon tea ever’ so I...was like ‘I’m going in’! Really nice coffee shop, nice staff (especially the lady serving and cleaning the tables she is fabulous I hope you appreciate her) Waiting set up to order is long and arduous and this Is because the coffees are made to order as you wait…but not as quickly as Starbucks because the girls are having to take food orders which slows down proceedings…impressive barrister skills, but annoying when you have children in tow, the wait was made worse by an arrogant customer holding up the queue as he couldn’t sit in a closed off area with his hen packed wife and annoying smelly, wet dog…he really was a bit of an oaf. Enjoy your tap water! I had soup and it was **** delicious and my partner (who can eat what he wants without getting fat had a breakfast) that looked beautiful. We also had some scones which were very tasty but a bit dry. We’d love to come back again soon. It’s not cheap but I’d say worth it for a treat!"

"visited in august 2019 while I had my wales vacation. on the way to betws y coed I wanted to stop and see this famous tea room. it sits in a curve on the main road, so not easy to stop, especially that it has a very small parking in the same curve. it is in the regular full, so I felt happy to get a room. the house has a small garden with a few tables where I sat when I asked about the toilet, I was sent to the upper garden where is a composting toilet. not the kindest place, but I saw worse in my life. after my coffee I had a walk in the upper garden, which has a few narrow paths around the forest area with some places to stop and see: bird feeder, wilded oak, white cliffs. it's a nice little walk and I'm pretty sure that most visitors miss it. there are a few stories about the history of the house, who knows the truth? but the ding is a beautiful little house, an old and special stone house that is worth seeing in any case."

"So , we ate here because we come to BYC alot have only ever had a drink in here so decided to go for our anniversary my partners birthday too,, we were shown to our table I ordered a soda (large one) a bottle of red wine,, it came then I drank the 'soda ' it was lemonade !! I 'm allergic to aspartame penelalanine I knew immediately what it was,,, I get a racing heart this mix up upset me , I remained calm however I was upset by this hugely as I 've avoided a reaction for years she had re-read it back to me so I thought she had this right,, then we ordered our meal the starter came it was OK then our main arrived I specifically asked for no sauces on my partners salt pepper burger it was smothered in sauce salad I said just the chicken the cheeses bacon nothing else ! I had ordered the fajitas they came with ice cold red peppers in a separate dish ? How vile freezing red pepper for me yo put on warm fajitas, strange it diddnt come with fries either I had to order these separately they never made it to the table she 'd forgotten I cancelled them it just wasn 't worth the wait,,, we were asked if everything was OK.... no was my answer it was a disaster from start to end, we got chatting to the lad in the table next to us, he was working away he 'd waited half a hour for a pint of beer, he aske us for our salt pepper saying if he asked the waitress he 'd be there till **** next Monday! You get the gist, regarding my allergies I have 'ventricular ectopics ' triggered by aspartame it was present in the lemonade I was given however I didn 't intake enough to trigger this ...it could of thou ! Then after complaining they took £3 off the bill ! £3 for the toppings on his burger ,, it cost £71.00 still, I was thoroughly deflated, fed up , annoyed ! It was after all my partners birthday our anniversary we tried to not let it dictate the events of our evening,, however it felt rubbish so here we are !!"
