Always a great meal with friendly staff. At good prices. Such a large variety of food to choose from including vegan options

We visited again today and chose the Christmas special. We were not disappointed with our sandwiches on granary bread. Turkey, sage and onion stuffing, pork sausage and cranberry sauce. A huge sandwich! Highly recommended!

We went in today and both decided to have the small breakfast at £5, with a coffee each too, and paid £15.50 for the lot. Excellent value with a sausage, bacon, fried egg, baked beans, tomato and a slice of toast with butter. Couldn’t fault it, and easily as good as breakfast in places where they charge twice the price. Recommended by a helpful local lady, we were not disappointed. Staff so very friendly, food so varied, delicious, copious and well priced. The quirky decor was stunning....several photos sent to family members, who are now encouraged to visit. Gluten, lactose, vegetarian requirements all met with no fuss whatsoever. We felt welcome, visible and valued. King's Lynn, you have a real gem of a cafe!

Visited here for lunch on Saturday 12th November 2022. Previously visited about 2 years ago. was busy and had to queue for about 20minutes but well worth it. The menu has lots and lots of choice. Drinks arrived quickly followed by our sandwiches and baguettes. The bread and fillings are top quality and fairly priced. Customer service from all staff was 1st class. Would certainly go again when in the area.

I have been using this cafe for years and I feel it’s time to give credit where it’s due. I have NEVER had a bad meal, poor service or feel robbed. The venue is immaculate, staff happy and friendly, not just to customers but amongst themselves. You can see the food being prepared and cakes are made on the premises. Portions are generous and excellent quality food. I have eaten in and used their take away service, both are top notch. If I could give it 10 stars I would! Firstly I remember the original filling station which was superb. Found the Decor with the screens to loud and bright and enclosed think these need removing now to make the place get the natural light back through. I don’t like to complain in the premises as other customers here and it might put them off. Food was beautiful only complaint on that was sausages were nicely flavoured but very bitty and a bit dry. Beans were warm I like mine red hot. Butter was few and far between four tiny lumps only covered two half’s of toast. We were staying in King`s Lynn for 2 nights and decided to have breakfast here. Unfortunately for us and rather stupidly for them they do not have their opening hours displayed in the window. We arrived at 9.10 for breakfast on our first morning and it wasn`t open. We could see staff inside so waited and was told we don`t open until 9.30. Having timed tickets for Sandringham we went elsewhere. tThe following day we arrived at 9.30 under an umbrella in the pouring rain. Absolutely delicious! The Filling Station Cafe: I have been to the Filling Station very many times over the last 5 years that I have lived in King 's Lynn. The premises; facilities, staff and food throughout that time have been consistently superb. The high quality of the food/beverages never changes. Always superb. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients and all meals prepared and cooked on the premises, makes for a lovely experience these days when we live in world full of coffee shop chains offering mass produced pre packaged foods.
