"We had a very pleasant stay at the Five Alls while working nearby. The staff were very pleasant and it seemed to work efficiently. The evening meals were good quality. I had the large sized chicken caesar salad £18. I should have had the smaller size. Couldn 't finish it. I should also have asked for no anchovies. It was pleasant, but not a great deal of parmesan. The beer selection on offer was very small for a rural country pub. Only two on offer, and no bottled options. The two beers on offer were ok, but not great. Several lagers available, but not beer. I fully appreciate the difficulty in keeping cask ales, but there are plenty of bottled options available now which keep well. The furniture and surroundings were very comfortable, with lots of old sofas. The furniture in the restaurant was an eclectic, bordering on eccentric mixture but it seemed to work. There is the work of a local artist on the walls which are for sale and are mostly rural in theme including lots of hares. The staff dogs are present in the bar or certainly were when we arrived and the pub is dog friendly. That was fine with us. We both like dogs. We stayed overnight in the accommodation which was very nice. Large roomy space, well furnished, with a large bathroom. Plenty of parking available. We asked for an early breakfast to next day, bearing in mind we were there on business and needed to leave by 7 am. We fully accept that we were not the Five Alls target demographic, and that we had been made fully aware that breakfast didn 't start until 8. The staff and the chef managed to arrange some breakfast for us to take back to our rooms as the restaurant would be shut at the time we needed to leave. That was very much appreciated. The only problem we had, was what to do with our keys and how to pay our bill and get a receipt. Nobody was up at that time. We ended up putting our room keys through the letterbox and calling to pay later in the day. I would happily stay again. Probably more suited to couples and a weekend away than business users."

Paula who runs the hotel could not have been kinder. On arrival I fell and broke my hip. We were given dinner and breakfast in our room I really couldn’t walk. In the morning she arranged for an ambulance. The food was delicious. Must also thank Ernesto for his help Speisekarte ansehen

I visited my neighborhood pub last night with my partner for the first time. Unfortunately, the service was slow and unwelcoming. The bar staff was preoccupied at the end of the bar, eating their dinner. We felt so unwelcome that we decided to sit outside in the cold beer garden. Despite the sign promising a warm welcome, I will not be returning to this pub again.

What a transformation! The restaurant has a new chef, and we dined on his first night. The meal was outstanding - every element was faultless, with delicious, flavorful dishes and beautiful presentation. The staff were attentive, the wine was delicious, and we even received a discount for being villagers (though this may have been a one-time offer). Kudos to all involved - we will definitely be returning.

We had booked a table for Sunday lunch and were seated in a different room than usual, at the back of the building. There was a large table with about twelve people and children, which was fine until a magician showed up and there was a lot of noise and laughter. We had hoped for a quiet Sunday lunch and were disappointed with the unexpected entertainment. It would have been better if we were seated in the other dining room, which was nearly empty when we left. I don't mean to be a party pooper, but a magician during Sunday lunch, really? I took my 87 years old mum out for lunch to the Five Alls. She has dementia and lives in a lovely local care home, so it was quite a big trip out. We had a lovely meal. The lady who served us looked after us really well. She was sensitive to the situation and was kind and patient. The meal was too big for mum, so she gave us a smaller plate for me to portion it for mum and a doggy bag to take the rest home! The atmosphere was very relaxed and the decor is beautiful. Thank you for a lovely experience, which so often is not the case when dining out with someone suffering from dementia.

Having not visited for a number of years I was looking forward to lunch here. On arrival our host gave us a warm welcome and gave good advice about seating areas. We chose to sit in the bar which was warm and fairly busy. After a short wait we were given the menus and made our choices. We enjoyed our drinks and initially were comfortable waiting for the food to arrive. As time went on, the height of the chair began to feel wrong and I wondered if it was too low to comfortably eat from the table.
