"As a group of four adults, we visited The Frog, we had eaten here before a few years ago, and thought that we would give it another visit. First impressions were good, it was not busy and we were promptly shown to our reserved table. We were given menus and were told that they would take our drinks and food order at the table as they weren’t busy, ordinarily we would have to order at the bar. We were the only people in the restaurant and after a considerable wait they came and took our drink order, we then, after another wait, had to ask for someone to take our food order. The food can only be described as ‘heated up’ food, frozen chips and vegetables, and did not look appetising whatsoever, certainly not worth the money, and this was complimented by the slow service, I hate to think what the waiting time would be if the restaurant was busy! The restaurant looks good at first glance, the furnishings are very nice, but looking around, the room needs a good clean, cobwebs and dust around the walls and ceilings, and would benefit from a repaint,and we could hardly see the lovely view of the river through the dirty windows. Such a shame that this lovely position on the banks of the Avon has left us with the feeling that we shall not return anytime soon."

Very welcoming pub, dogs allowed in bar. Lovely meal, chicken and chorizo skewer and salmon huge portions. Salmon cooked perfectly. Would recommend

Great food, portion sizes were spot on, and the beef chilli on nachos was amazing, and the pizza crust was great! Staff were brilliant even though obviously under pressure!

Beautiful view, pleasant surroundings, friendly staff (and locals! , dog made welcome, and lovely food. What more could you ask? We will visit again next year when we come back to the area.

Stopped here for lunch on the way to our hotel break. Picked based on some of the reviews. Pub was pretty dead so no excuse for slow service. Food was bang average. Great views, but that’s the best bit.

Fabulous food, lovely pub and excellent service. Accommodated 9 of us plus a dog. The food really was terrific, big portions, really tasty, highly recommended the pies! Oh and the cocktails- yummy! Thank you!

We stopped at Bidford on Avon whilst on a canal boat holiday and came across The Frog when we were ready to eat. We had an amazing meal, really good size portions of freshly cooked food. Service was great, friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Was fishing in the area so stop for a beer place is very tried needs a make over gents toilets are in a very poor state needs sorting leaking urinals plus don’t smell to good. Very expensive drinks prices staff are very polite Very nice view of the river
