"Went here for a takeaway and was very disappointed. We ordered 2 haddock suppers and asked for one to be Gluten free. When we got back to our holiday home and opened the food it wasn’t even marked which one was gluten free which meant I couldn’t eat the fish without taking the batter off so it was just plain fish with no flavour. It wouldn’t have been hard to mark gf on the right one. Extremely careless. There was no salt and vinegar on the chips so they were also bland and also quite dry. The portions are huge so if it was edible you would definitely get moneys worth although one portion of chips is more than enough for 2 people but unfortunately it was mostly wasted as it just wasn’t good."

Yesterday, we called for a late lunch and, as always, we were not disappointed. The service and cleanliness of the restaurant were top-notch. The food was delicious, and we can't wait to go back again.

Consistent and well priced. Always pop past for a quick bite, either sit in or takeaway. One of the best in Co.Down in my opinion. Crab meat and fish both top drawer. Chips always fresh and tasty. Blows almost every chip shop in Bangor out of the water. Highly recommended if in the area

We reserved a large group of 53 members from a club for people over 55 for lunch today. The meal was fantastic, the staff were very attentive and efficient. We were out for a drive and decided to stop at the Galley, we should have kept driving. We got a fish supper, sausage supper and a tub of curry sauce. The chips weren't great but improved when dipped in the curry. The biggest let down was the fish, it had soggy thick batter, I ate a few bites then gave up as it was so greasy. Won't be back.

We had a take out and the fish chips, brilliant. Haddock was white and tasty also batter was cooked to perfection. We had breaded scampi as well which was good. You must try the curry sauce on your chips they go together like preorder peas in a pod. I have eaten in the galley always lunch time which is great, you may have to wait for a table but well worth it. Try a wee treat scone raspberry and white chocolate you will want to go back for more. Girls are always friendly and serve with a smile.
