The Golden Fish - Speisekarte

Good value for money, nice big portions of chips, lovely fresh fish to order and got to put our own salt and vinegar on which is always a bonus. Couldn’t fault it.

Decided to have fish and chips in Brixham today. Delicious! Large portion, much nicer than Rockfish and about half the price. I had the roe and chips, and was surprised to get two large pieces

Visited while on holiday, big portion size, not greasy, cooked fresh, and perfect service. I'd much rather support the small independent business than the millionaires and their greedy prices. Keep doing what you're doing guys!!

We got to this fish and chip shop evertime we visited. The food is freshly cooked to order and the staff are always wonderful and friendly. Highly recommend I hope the family stay running the chippy for years to come. Many thanks see you next trip

Family friendly restaurant that made us feel welcome two evenings in a row.With having children with additional needs, it can be a challenge to find somewhere accommodating, and would come back here again and again due to the welcoming nature of the staff and ease. Speisekarte ansehen

Had Haddock, cod chips and it was the greasiest fish I have had in years, batter should be natural colour nothing added to me it more golden. I go to Brixham several times a year because the fish n chips are always nice, first and last time here, wont put me off other chippies in Brixham though.

We went here for lunch in Brixham which was exceptionally busy. We were looking for somewhere to sit down and eat lunch with our dogs. The owner was very friendly and allowed us to sit at the first table.For lunch, we had a Pukka pie and chips and a baked potato with prawns. The food was well priced and was good honest food. The prawns were fresh which is always nice.The service was excellent and the restaurant clean. All the staff we interacted with were friendly. We would definitely go back.

During the initial post lockdown, where only takeaways were available and not very many food establishments were open, I craved for some chips and curry sauce. Now, I cannot comment on the standard of fish cooked, but I was appalled to see the curry sauce being made in a jug with powder and hot water from the kettle. It was watery and tasteless sorry we returned it after dipping my greasy chip into it to taste. I have not returned, although I’m now hopeful that with some normality resuming, the food will be much more lovingly prepared Speisekarte ansehen
