Maido Japanese Noodle

Went here for my birthday meal. They made us feel really welcome and communication was excellent. Food was lovely and they went out of their way to wish me a happy birthday! Thank you

I had Okonomiyaki for the first time and it was so yummy! Definitely gonna come back and try the other food they have. The staff are really friendly and make the nicest matcha latte. I was so full afterwards.

LOVE this place Food is great, nothing fancy just authentic Japanese dishes. They dont have any fish So that said the sushi is all vegetables. Not expensive. If you plan on going on a Saturday you would need to book. Yummmiii xx Speisekarte ansehen

My daughter is mad about all things Japanese so when we saw the great reviews we thought we would try Maido during our visit to Torquay. We absolutely loved it! Super fresh food, friendly welcome and a manga library to read while you wait.. very happy daughter (and all of us Wish we lived closer we would go every week and work our way through the menu.

We were looking for something to accompany an online Sake Tasting and noticed a Japanese Noodle Bar in Torquay. We ordered a variety of items and were happy with everything we tried. The service was friendly and efficient, and the prices were reasonable. Now we've...found it, we will definately go back. Possibly one of the healthiest take-away options in the area.

After spending days eating the usual rubbish you eat when on holiday I was in need of something fresh and tasty and I was absolutely thrilled when we stumbled across a previous review for Maido and headed in their direction. The food was prepared fresh...to order and tasted AMAZING. The staff were lovely and friendly too which made the whole lunchtime experience fantastic. Being a vegetarian, I find Japanese food options limited and often struggle to maintain my weight when visiting Japan. However, this restaurant offers a good selection of delicious flavors, with an abundance of umami and kokomo. The presentation of the food is beautiful, and the staff are excellent, polite, and pleasant to chat with. You place your order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. This Osaka-style restaurant has quickly become my favorite eatery since moving to Torquay. I highly recommend it.

My friends and I heard about Maido and decided to go eat there, but there was limited seating due to covid restrictions. Fortunately, a friendly staff member added another chair at the bar so we could all sit together. I ordered one of their ramen dishes and it was absolutely delicious. I finished it in no time and can't wait to go back for more. Despite only having two staff members working that day, the service was exceptional. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food – you won't be disappointed!

I recently discovered Maido, a restaurant that has surpassed Wagamamas in my opinion. As someone who has traveled to Asia many times and loves oriental food, Maido caught my attention while I was visiting my fishing tackle store. The owner, a lovely lady, came into the store and gave me a delicious meal to take away, which prompted me to visit the restaurant to try more of their dishes. The food at Maido is even better than what I expected, and the restaurant has a homely and fresh atmosphere. The staff is exceptionally polite and helpful.
